Reviews for Pacer Pedometer & Step Tracker
Pro: I really like the app. It is simple and easy to use. There are a lot of options, free and pay. Personally, all i use it for is the stepcounts. However, there are a lot more options beside that, that keeps track of. Con: the app runs in the background and does eat at your battery. Also, it is easy to miss when the app closes and does not count your steps. I had an update that reset my phone and I forget to login into the app. That is 3 days I missed. Get the app?: Big Yes
Best app I've ever used to track my steps, love being able to log specific walks using GPS. Then you can walk/run the same routes and try to beat your previous times. I don't know if it's already a feature, but they should let you share routes with people and compete. So if a whole group of friends and family go to the same park throughout the month, they can have a group leader boards specifically for "Pacer Park" route.
it's a great app (monthly fee version) Does exactly as advertise. It only tracks walking when you have your phone with you, but you can add exercise (you just have something that tracks your steps all the time like a fitbit). I got this before the fitbit, but I've kept it. I like the coach check in, and the tips that it gives. It's a very positive app, and keeps motivating you for overall progress. A good feature when you are trying to lose weight!
Started off great, but lately has glitches. I love how it keeps track of steps, calories, keeps daily logs so you can see what your exercise trends are each day. I also really like you can pause the counting of steps so it doesn't drain the battery. But lately the app won't open or if it does it doesn't stay up long & disappears off screen again. It does keep track of steps if I can keep app open long enough to unpause my steps. Just Uninstalled app, going to reinstall in hopes that works
Love the free version. Does exactly as advertised and highly recommend. Only reason I didn't Give it 5 is because I tried the fee $ version and it didn't work. Like.. At all. It immediately changed me yet provided none of the service. (huh???). Felt scammed. Honestly If the free version wasn't so good I would have dumped the app entirely. Very disappointing. My recommendation: Stick with the FREE version. Simple but effective.
It's good if u want an ideal of how many steps u take per day but just as another review stated, when moving around the house, when ur constantly stopping and starting walking, it doesn't pick up on ur steps right away. At first it was just a few steps it didn't count from time to time, I was fine with that but a moment when I was intentionally walking and looking for the number to change, it didn't change at all. It didn't count over 30 steps I had taken. On this note, I have to try another app
I've been using this app for a few months now. I've liked it so far. But... today it decided it doesn't want to open.. i thought maybe it needed to be updated. Looked it up and yes it did. So i updated it and attempted to open it again. Still not opening. Restarted my phone, same. Powered it off and back on, same. What's the deal? Update. I uninstalled and reinstalled.. it works again but now ALL my records are gone. This is a huge disappointment.
Interface is pretty cool and the fact that it basically says your level of activity based on steps were the only things I liked. Downloaded to use with my fitness pal and it didn't sync, not sure which app was at fault, but then it stopped opening and would crash after half a second or so for no reason. Things like this aren't worth the money or time so just use a different one.
Really inaccurate. I can't figure out turn down the sensitivity on the step counter. I have a popsocket, and i usually am spinning my phone on it or messing with it in some other way so any little bit of movements adds up steps. Ive been in bed for the last couple of hours or so and in that time, just by plating with my phone, have racked up 935 steps.
