Reviews for Fleksy fast emoji keyboard app
Great keyboard. Out of all of they keyboards I've used, this one feels the most smooth and the most accurate. The autocorrect is fairly strict and may take a few days to get used to your style of writing, but once it does, it's fairly smooth sailing after that. The swipe right for space gesture actually slows down my typing, but the other autocorrect-related gestures make a lot of sense and make for a more fluid experience than any other keyboard I've used. Definitely will keep using this. 10/10.
Updated to the latest version and now the keyboard vibration does not work. I'm on a Galaxy S9+. I found a workaround but it requires that you keep your phone on vibrate. Developers if you are watching please fix this and I will change my rating. Edit: the developers fixed the issue! It's back to how it used to be. Best keyboard alternative hands down.
Why is there no easy way to ignore the suggested autocorrect for a particular word? Swiping doesn't work. Edit:Thanks for the amazingly quick response. It's working now. It IS a little confusing to me that swiping only works AFTER it goes ahead and changes the word to the wrong one.
There are a lot of things that I really like here; the gestures, the style, the sound, the themes, the autocorrect; but it's decidedly simple when compared to the competition. Strangely there's no emoji search (even though that's basically standard for most other boards, even iOS 14 is adding it), and you have to switch between having a prediction row and a number row for some reason I can't undersrand. It's still going to be my keyboard of choice for now, but I do wish it was a little better.
I have a love-hate relationship with this app. It is convenient and cool looking. I love the ability to change the aesthetics of the keyboard. That is awesome. Also, the privacy is the #1 reason I chose it. Hands down. Cons though... Yeah. I may have to switch keyboards. 1: The autocorrect is utterly profane. It's funny sometimes, but I don't like spelling a two-syllable word CORRECTLY only to look back and find it changed to the worst words in the English language - you KNOW the ones. Occasionally it is comical, but when I'm texting my boss? Not okay. 2. It's stupid. This autocorrect has the vocabulary of a ten-year old at best. When I am constantly battling to fix CORRECT words that Fleksy changes... It quickly becomes enraging. 3. The punctuation thing. Sure, it's handy that it places periods. But quotation marks in the middle of a sentence are IMPOSSIBLE. I am constantly backtracking to fix commas and exclamations, and double periods. Grr. If you are one of those people who don't "do" punctuation, Fleksy is great. For the grammar police? It's a nightmare.
It has a great aesthetic... Really. However, it has a lot of problems. 1) it is bad at detecting whether you meant to strike the spacebar or another letter. 2) Tutorial is broken. Tells me to tap anywhere to begin, does nothing else no matter how I tap. 3) if you switch tasks while looking at the tutorial, the punctuation key stops working. There's more. Wish I could use this keyboard
Love the concept behind this app. But it needs major tweaking. The smart gestures are useful but extremely limiting and don't out weigh the benefits of using swipe to text. I'm not sure if it's a copyright issue but swipe text would make this app powerful. I can't get most of the gestures for the minimal layout to function properly. I wish there was an option to adjust the opacity of the keyboard instead of making it completely invisible. The keyboardtutorial is also not working.
Overall I like the app and the keyboard sound is what I have been looking for. but on another not the swipe to text is not working at all. And not all of the little Fleksy liter faucets at the top of the keyboard won't open. Like where all the search things are. And then also the text size of the board is very small even when set on Large, and they are all open letters on the board. None of them have boarders. I didn't know I would have to pay for most of the things in the app.i like the speed
I used to love this keyboard. I am in the habit of swiping right across the keyboard to insert spaces. It was a very quick and neat shortcut when using this keyboard. Lately though, instead of inserting a space it tends to add a couple extraneous letters to the end of any word I'm typing. I don't know if it's me or an update that started causing this behavior, but it's incredibly frustrating to have to go back and fix almost every word I'm typing. I'm using a Galaxy S8.
After reading the app description & reviews, I thought maybe I finally found the perfect keyboard app! Unfortunately, when I installed it, I realized that it's missing one major feature that I can't do without: swipe typing. 😭 I love all the keyboard shortcuts, but I'll never go back to regular typing on my phone as long as swipe options exist. I also noticed that when you want to select something to cut or copy it, your only option is to select all. Seems like a major oversight to me!
