Reviews for Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard
It's gotten good but also WORSE. It used to have the ability to view the clipboard of the Android system but now it doesn't keep anything also it forces incognito mode without the ability to disable it in certain apps whether you wanted to or not, I looked online for help but apparently people were complaining about this 3 years ago and they didn't do anything.
Overall this remains my best liked keyboard. It's customizable and works well. There was a temporary glitch with the cursor jumping around which seems to have been fixed. I just wish there was an option to get more sticker packs for it. I'm missing Finch and the Foxes I used to have on Facebook, didn't realize FB Messenger pulls these from the keyboard you are using.
I've used this app for 8+ years. I don't know what the problem is, but all of a sudden the clipboard only saves ONE item at a time, (MAYBE two on a good day). Offensive words have COMPLETELY removed (although this may be a different setting in a different app or even user error), the memory predictions have become terrible & even the suggested one word replies are a often disastrous. I hate to say it but this app has gone down hill like a one wheel bike without any brakes! 😔
I've been using this for years and loved how customizable and usable the swiping is. That all broke with the most recent update. The swiping predicts wrong words and injects spaces even though I haven't touched the space bar, so if I swipe for 1 word, I get 2 or 3 words that contain letters that I have not touched. It's unusable now. I haven't changed the way that I swipe. I'm changing to the default keyboard until this is fixed.
Obviously there has been an issue with your app. Instead of directing almost every single person some where else, why don't you test your own software, which is easily reproducible and fix it. It's extremely difficult to type a basic sentence out right now, as half doesn't get processed right and auto correct makes it worse. The keyboard is Samsung level bad
I've been using this keyboard as my default keyboard for years, it's the first thing I install on any phone, but this latest update has broken it. The cursor jumps all over while editing, either going to the end of the word block to insert, or at the last word you edited. Absolutely nothing will change its mind. I think you guys need to roll back to whatever you had previously, it worked great, and didn't need an update.
Like everyone else has said, app worked great for years, even after Microsoft bought it. Then the glitches started happening. I saw the other comments and went to the article as directed. They say "Note: But as long as you're signed-in to your Microsoft SwiftKey Account, you won't lose any previously-saved data." That's a lie. I lost my entire collect of pins in the clipboard...it will take me WEEKS to replace this loss. I use this literally a hundred times every day.
Yikes. Latest update seems to have killed the app. When you try to edit a word in typed out text, the cursor jumps to the end or the text and removes letters from another word. Very glitchy. Happens in most apps, including Gmail, Facebook, etc. Uninstall and reinstall did not correct the problem, neither did any of the steps in the copy and pasted link you replied to other negative reviews.
I have been using SwiftKey (paid version) for like a decade now. Updating my last review, as they fixed the last issue, thank you very much! But right now there seems to be an issue with Samsung phones since system update to Android 12. When we press and hold, we don't get the clipboard option anymore, only the option to paste. Idk for sure if that's SwiftKey or Samsung's issue, but other keyboards seem to be ok. I'd really like to stay with SwiftKey, tho! Pls fix if possible! Thx! ♥️
As with all great pieces of software, Microsoft will eventually buy them and make them more unusable with each update. Swipe to text has insanely poor prediction (try typing "almost" without it predicting "ashtray", I dare you) and as of the last update it's completely unusable as it tries to type multiple words with one swipe even though that's not a feature.
