Reviews for Yi Home
New update adds advertisements when launching the app.
Worst ever app, this is my camera, you are pushing commercials to my app. If i had time i would have sue you on behalf of everyone who have your cameras.
Loved the cameras and app until now...EVERYTIME YOU OPEN THE APP YOU HAVE TO WATCH AN AD?!?!
working fine
Kami has implemented a requirement that you contact the company in order to cancel the cloud storage service for your home camera and then proceeded to delay the cancellation. Signing up for the service is a simple button press - cancellation should be as easy. I cannot recommend when the company is so customer hostile.
With the new updates now y'all added adds and perlong to open up the cameras.WHY DID Y'ALL ADDED ADDS NOW?????
App doesn't work, company is almost nonexistent, if you have any problems, which you will, they've only got a handful of remaining support agents who take 5-7 days to respond to questions. Support they offer never solves even the most basic problems, they basically just stall until the service you've paid for has been used up, even though you can't actually use it. Ads on every screen, watermarks on recorded video, no way to remove them even with paid service. Total scam, avoid at all costs.
This app has gotten progressively less functional with each patch. It constantly pesters users for SaaS, making local storage users ever more inconvenienced. Now there's ads for games? Are you serious? I boughtt multiple Yi security cameras, and in order to use them, I have to play a 20 second video add just to see whether the alert I'm getting is so.eone breaking into my home? Seconds count for security alerts, and your money-grabbing ways show no decency. I already paid for 3 cameras.
The app has grown worse now that they show ads every time I open it. It's absurd to have to wait 30,1, any seconds when I want to check my feeds. They lock features behind a paywall like multiple cameras on one screen when it's got nothing to do with server load or storage. It's supposed to be 1080 but regularly would barely pass 720, even widescreen 480. Every few months this experience gets worse and worse and may just force me to do a HW refresh
I used this camera for years, no problems the outdoor bullet cameras that is. the indoor ones did not last 6 months. The reason for my review, Yi Home app suddenly has ad's lots and lots of ad's. WHY THE **** WOULD YOU PUT AD'S ON A PAID FOR CAMERA? I paid for my camera I paid to use it. Now while driving and I have to check my camera very quickly, you first have to struggle getting past ad's. Your a disgrace for adding ad's to the software where we paid to use the camera.
