Reviews for Life360: Live Location Sharing
ETA: I downgraded my rating by one star because the speech bubbles are incredibly frustrating due to placement. After months of app use since they first appeared, no one in my circles has gotten used to them and we're constantly annoying each other with, for one example, unnecessary requests for "ETA?". Good functionality on Android. New layout much easier to use.
This is a great app for families, however there are issues with opening group chats. If you try to open a chat, it will completely close the app. And, the app has become more glitchy as of recent, it won't update as often as before, and will give incorrect times. Would still 100% reccomend to friends and other family members!
Life360 fan from my child's high school days to college now. It gives the exact location down to the parking spot 70% of the time, but that depends on their phone's signal strength. The purple shaded area is ALWAYS 1000% accurate, but their icon can bounce around in that shaded area when their phone signal is weak or unstable. That's why it's a poor "monitor for cheating spouses" but it's great if you just want to know the family's moving around safely, or made it to their destination.
Great app that I use for my kids. I've used it for a few years now and have only had trouble connecting maybe a few times over the years. Location accuracy is really good. Notifications work good for when my kids leave or arrive at saved locations. I highly recommend this app, especially for parents that want to keep up with their kids location.
Love this app! I get alerts when my family leaves/arrives at tagged locations (home, work, etc). My daughter lost her phone and we were able to track it down to the exact location. It was much easier than calling it. I switched to 4 stars because I get double notifications and that's confusing.
Use it for my family, especially with my 9-year-old daughter. Great way to see where she's located at all times, they also have crash detection on the free part. There's also an SOS button located on the app so when pressed it sends an alert to everyone that's in the "Circle" of people. Lastly, the top speed of trips made for 2 days is saved. The battery drains faster due to it running in the background but it's not much and well worth it! Deff recommend this app!
Other than you get less than perfect Quality if you don't upgrade anything, that is to be expected. You do get what you pay for. Considering it doesn't charge, it is definitely something for even the poorest of parents that want to keep track of their kids. It does exactly what it says, n darn near perfectly. You get more than you pay for with this since it could actually even save a life(life saving application) I hope it never changes because it knows it could. Highly recommend 👌🏽
Not super accurate, Google maps does a better job, plus, you can't "protect a drive" unless you pay? Why? It's life saving, yet you have to pay or just see that they stopped driving, but you get a notification like 5 minutes later, which by then they could've bled out if they crash. I'm about to uninstall and use Google maps instead, at least they have all the features plus more on there. Ads are minimal. The app itself works, but like I said on top.
We recently got new phones and the app was added fine to my phone. But it keeps telling me that my son's phone has no network or is turned off. I logged off and uninstalled it from his old phone then logged in again on his new one, but it still says no network. I'd rather not have to use a different app since I have everything saved and other apps don't necessarily have some of the same features. Any help would be great.
Life360 does its job very well, much better than any of its competitors. I enjoy the app, for all that it does for me and my family. However there are some things that I dislike; such as the demanding nature of the app. When you open life360 you are met with demanding and persistent messages: TURN OFF BATTERY SAVER!! TELL (person) TO TURN OFF BATTERY SAVER!!, TURN ON WIFI!!, TELL (person) TO TURN ON THEIR WIFI!! These constant, demanding, and controlling messages damage the quality if the app.
