Tractive GPS for Cats & Dogs

Amazing! Easy to use, very accurate. I have a indoor/outdoor cat and this gave me his exact location. We tested it at night and the light and sound were very helpful. Im sure the sound cant be too loud because of sensitive ears, but it would be nice to have a sound play off the phone when you are close by like a metal detector. The rings option was off as he was in front of us with no rings. I'd recommend this to anyone who has an indoor/outdoor cat who likes to stay out for extended hours.

Overall nice product and app. It was a little confusing understanding why the Find mode was not displaying but after some expirimentation I understood it needs to be within Bluetooth range for it to become active. It would be nice if the unit was a little bit smaller for a Cat, and if it was a little easier to charge the battery without having to remove the collar from our cat, charge it, then place the collar back on. Perhaps a removable battery that could easily be swapped with a spare?

*Cat* So far it's great. The tracking is slightly off but otherwise it works much better than my cheap trackers. (6/7/22) Update, My heathen escaped this morning while I was asleep. I found him quickly! Thank you Tractive, for being on top of it for me when I couldn't be. 🙃 Live works well, and the battery is wonderful when on wifi! I still haven't had to charge it up even with us leaving the home for a few hours on hikes! (6/24/22)

Impressive. My cat managed to take hee tracker off. I turned on the history and LIVE features. I like how the GPS system let me know how close I was to finding her tracker, foot-wise. When I was close to it, it said "nearby'. I then activated the sound, which led me to her tracker. I found her tracker in some bushes. I would like for the sound to have a feature to make the volume louder when searching for lost tracker. Other than that, it's awesome!

So many great things I could say about this tiny little device. We live on the water and my dog swims in the bay all day everyday and it still works great! The battery life is great! I love the light! I turn it on for my German shepherd at night so she can see the dock well. The sound is cool too. I use it to alert my girl to come back when she leaves the parameter. It stays gripped on her collar like no bodies business! I absolutely love this thing and recommend it to everyone!

Works as expected. (Updating review after reading so many bad ones). I'm a fan. I let the dog out and hit "live" and can watch where she goes with impressive accuracy - about a 5 second delay. I am in an area with excellent cell coverage. Also, my battery lasts 2 days on a charge depending on how long I'm tracking her "live." The more you live track, the faster it uses battery - probably because there's a blinking light on the collar that activates as well as the sound if you choose.

Mostly positive. Its typical for signal to bounce a bit. The map is over 4 years old, but I think Google hasn't updated that part. Actual location can be off by several yards but it's pretty darn close.! I don't like all the updates needed and sometimes it won't show my kitty's icon on the map. Hoping this update fixes that glitch. Overall, this app is good. 😊

Really well thought out app. I only have one complaint. I like the fact you can have a power saving profile by using your local Wifi to define when to go into power saving. Of course, many features are disabled to use less battery for the tracker. But there is no way of getting out of this mode until your dog leaves the Wifi area coverage. This is frustrating if you want to check say activity if you are away from home and your dog is home. There is usually an error saying tracker not found.

There are a lot of features in the app I really like but there are some significant issues. There are a lot of inconsistencies in data syncing. Some days it updates on its own, most days I have to stop the app and restart multiple times for the dog's activity to show up. Frequently the device is right next to me and it says the tracker is not near me with no obstruction to the sky. Google Pixel 4XL

This product is awesome! We have tried other tracking collars for our adventurers and all of them failed in comparison to the Tractive. It allows you to live track a dog and provides a line to show you where they've been and where they are at in real time. If you don't have good cell service in your area (like we don't), it could be touch and go, but it is pinpoint accurate and is constantly working to get a signal, so it picks up regularly. The battery lasts a few days at best.
