Still have ongoing issues with the GPS. Sometimes it just stops tracking all together. One of the worst apps I've used regarding gps accuracy. Totally agree with other reviews in that if its going to track so poorly that you should atleast introduce an option to edit the route map yourself to make it more accurate.

The app used to be so much better and worked perfectly, until over the last couple of weeks the app seems to go to sleep in the background. I've got the app battery optimisations set to manual not automatic, I've got the app "locked" in the recent apps screen, but it still seems to sleep, or not record info from the GPS in my phone. I've checked by installing another walk mapping app, and run at the same time as tractive. The other app records the full walk, whereas tractive doesn't. Please fix!

Terrible! I get that this is designed to work with the GPS device and subscription, but if you want to try it out without these don't bother. App said that we walked 0.01 miles in 1hr 41 and the map didn't represent anything like the circular route we took through the woods. Was running Strava at the same time to compare the apps as the GPS devices are expensive, flawless performance from Strava. No GPS device required and photos uploaded easily.

Sadly not very accurate. Tracking my walks and it has me going through neighbours yards, not down the road I'm walking down so the distance isn't correct. Fun to have if you aren't a serious record keeper. Updated: unfortunately I will be deleting the app after this review. Today I walked the furthest I've walked, and it has recorded less than half the distance (based on previous days estimates. The settings are on allowing the location all the time but it obviously doesn't do that.

Previously had this app on my iPhone and it was a dream!! Could track my walks to the footing, send them effortlessly to family and friends... but then I changed to android. WHY can it not track me minute by minute rather than when I open the app it just draws a straight line from where I was when I last opened the app! And no chance I can send the walk data to someone without it crashing or having to take a screenshot. Please fix this, I loved it so much before!!

Loved the app to walk with my Dog and keep track of our walks, but since I switched to my new phone the app stops mapping the movement and won't start mapping again until I turn my phone on and enter the app. Not sure if my phone or the app but every other app works fine, when mapping.. Edit: Problem has been resolved, my phone was automatically turning off the app as it was using a lot of power. Switched it to manual and fixed the issue where it would stop mapping. :)

I've been using Dog Walk approx 18 months. In that time it has been brilliant except the past few months where, on 4 occasions (that I have noticed), the tracking has failed. The timer has continued without disruption. When I have noticed the tracking has stopped (or added in routes not taken) I have tested my phone's Maps app and this has worked fine. Also, regarding the questions, there sometimes needs to be a 'neither' response. One question in particular is "Do you feed canned or dry food to *dog's name*".

Don't use if you're trying to track actual distance. It screwed up on me twice of three times since I re-installed it after a few years. Now I remember why I don't use it. Really unreliable after all these years. After an hour of running it showed I only went .04 miles of a straight line. So annoying

Just missing a couple things to make this perfect for me... I find the poop/pee icons way too similar and small; if they were at least different colours, it would make it easier to differentiate on a map. Also, I really want a want to see all poops/pees from all walks on a single map to see any patterns of where my dog may prefer to go on walks.

Nice app.. Some minor Tweeks would make it even better. It would be nice if you could do the following Encounters / interactions The ability to pause the walk The ability to add walks later - just time and distance Weather - simple inputs such as sunny, rain, hail etc I'm sure if you could add something like this I'd be willing, and so would many others to pay for the app
