Reviews for Samsung Music
One of my favorite music apps! But recently I got a new phone and when I open the app the recently added, favorites, and most listened to playlists at the top are all missing which sucks because that was one of my favorite parts of this app. I really hope this is just a glitch that'll go away with time. Otherwise a great app!
I switched to Samsung Music because my go to app has gone to hell. Overall I like it. Pretty basic. My biggest gripe is the graphic eq. The graphic eq doesn't work properly. Increasing the high frequency bars actually cut the high end. And when I boost the bass frequencies I lose mid and high frequencies. Totally not the way a graphic eq works. I get the best sound with everything set flat. Please fix the EQ.
Was great until latest versions. For some reason the version on my Note 10+ could play any file type. When I got my Tab S8 and S22 and copied over everything, some older wma files won't play. Had to resort to other players like foobar and VLC. That's too bad because the Samsung Music app seems to integrate great with cars and shows album art while the non standard players don't. Hopefully an update allows all formats again.
A basic, no frills music player that's most good at its job. Will randomly undo changes you made to a playlist, and will do so repeatedly until you give up and deleted the songs from your phone (you can put them back later in a different folder). Supposedly clearing data and cache will fix this problem but a quick Google search shows that doesn't always work.
For some reason when I select on an album to listen to, I click on the first song, I don't want to listen to it anymore so I hit the next button, but it selects a different song randomly. Same thing when I play by Artist or Song, selecting Next Song jumps to a random song in that list.
Since Google play music no longer exists, there is no other app that stands up to its quality these days, I was hoping this Music player would be on the level of Google play music, but unfortunately it isn't, one major issues is: if you have multiple artists in the same album, it will separate each artist into their own album, which makes the original album inconsistent, it's a fault on the creator of the app and that needs to be fixed since songs don't need to be separated like that
Got S21+ and now Samsung Music app plays very few songs on my phone, and I don't know why. I need it to work. It says "failed to play track." I'm going to uninstall it and not install it again. I'm going to try a different music player app. Earlier versions on other devises work fine for all my music.
If I click play on an album, playlist, etc., it will play the first song and then pause. The next song title shows up, but it's just on pause. I have to press play every single time the next song comes up. Can't edit album names despite clicking the edit button. The cover art won't change no matter how many times I try. Constantly crashes and freezes. Why are precisely 0 of the default Samsung apps functional? (And yes, I have uninstalled, cleared the cache, restarted my phone, & nothing works.)
Hot garbage. Just switched from a Galaxy Note 8 to the new 22 Ultra and now all of a sudden this app won't play certain songs/albums because of the format. But they all played just fine on my Note 8. They get rid of the headphone jack and don't allow you to use a micro SD card on this new phone and call it "progress". And now this app won't play certain songs due to format. What a joke.
App used to work great. Now when the player gets to a wma file, it plays but no sound. The only fix I've found is to pause the track, back up 2 to 3 tracks, the forward back to the track press play then it will have sound. Seems to only be an issue via Bluetooth for Me as well. I have a Samsung galaxy s20
