Reviews for Google Calendar
Liked the ability to color code, which is how I keep track of everything. But with the recent update, all the colors changed, which is really throwing off my ability to keep track of things, as multiple colors are now too similar to each other. If anything I'd have wanted MORE colors, not fewer!! Reading Google's responses to similar complaints in the reviews, I sent in a feedback note directly to Google's team, but haven't gotten any response, and it's been weeks.
Not enough options in settings to view this calendar. Let me view month with just 2-3 weeks on the screen instead of 6. Is it difficult for a high tech company to provide more color options & allow detailed customization for user's, especially when the app is already installed on our smartphone? Many Google apps I absolutely love, this isn't one of them. My 3rd party calendar is an essential part of my life relied on daily. Calendars are a basic app needed by majority of the population! 🤷🏻♀
I love the app. However, I am no longer able to select the color codes that I use for various events. This is the second time that ability has been taken away. I see from reading the reviews that I am not the only user who values our own color coding. Taking a look at calendar by month would show all events the same color. Please restore our color choices and don't force default color.
Love it, but could be better. Id love for Google to be able to merge Calendars instead of sending an invite to individual events. It would also be awesome if we use the goals/tasks we could have an update at the end of the week/month that tells us how we did, if we met our goal or our weekly average etc. Other than those two things I really like using it.
I love this calender but it has an issue that must be fixed and it's that you should be able to add a rigging alarm to any date you wish to add an alarm to. The sound of a notification isn't enough and should be replaced with an alarm function. I guarantee many people would love the app even more if you replaced notification with an actual alarm. Thats pretty much the only thing I don't like about this app.
I've used this calendar app ever since I started using an android phone. I loved it when we could use different colors for different events. Made it so much easier to glance at the day and see what I had scheduled. This option has been taken away, yet again! Why can't you leave a good thing alone? Please return the different colors and leave them. Thanks!
Been using this for several years and have always liked the color options. It's great for keeping various events organized. However, with the recent update, the colors have changed and are all more subdued. It makes it extremely difficult to see the different events I have on my calendar. Please bring back the bold colors!
I wish they would fix one thing. When you are working on adding events around midnight, it will always auto default the next day of whatever calendar date you are clicking for your event. I do a lot of my organizing and scheduling later at night and it drives me nuts Example, if it's close to midnight when I put something in, even if I'm doing an event for a week or two down the road, it changes it to the day after I click because it is autopopulates the time.
7/4/22: Just noticed in the past day or two that the event label text color is white now. Black was easier to read, but it doesn't seem that I'm able to change it back ☹️ Also would like to be able to save a list of commonly occurring events that I can choose from when creating a new event. Would be good for tracking part-time job schedules and such where the shift is always the same, but the days change.
UPDATE: Developer's suggestion is unhelpful. Already been to thise sites for help and got no where which I stated initially - do they even read these... Downloaded the app to make it easy to see what's going on w the day. Works great on my computer - sync fine. The app will not - the only calendar that synced was the one I already had on my phone, nothing else. I've gone through so many help pages and even tried ones suggested here (the links didn't work). So disappointing.
