I live in Papua New Guinea and use this all the time. I'm a fishing guide, and heavily rely on acurste weather to forecasts too choose where to fish. Even being so remote it's 90% correct. Quite impressive. My favorite option is being able to add my own spot if there isn't one on the map.

I like Windy. I would pay for the upgrade if they had a perpetual license. I don't rent software. 4 would be 5 stars if not for that. [EDIT] Changed review to 5 stars. Dev responded. I am indeed ABLE to purchase a perpetual license, and just did!! Great service. Thanks

Super good app, it's free, always give accurate information. I was in Portland Maine, I got a notification that the winds were picking up in my favorite beach. Grabbed my kite and the rest is history.

Great app, really love it. It's very complicated to understand at first but loads of detail and things available that no other apps have, my only complaint is offline maps can not be downloaded on android device. I would strongly recommend the pro version.

Its a great app and about as accurate as is possible .i use for my work on moorings servicing and installing i think its kinda sad that you only focus on recreation aside from fishing but i find the sailing mode helpful. Maybe explain the diff models a bit more and thier accuracy and which ones are most followed by say local authorities.

I'm a paraglider pilot with 25+ years experience so I'm very pleased to recommend this app. Of course, it's not always perfectly accurate - that's why independent studying of met/weather systems is important - but it often saves me time and money when I'm considering going to a distant flying site, but Windy says, "Nope!"

When you open the app and the main map is visible when you tap on it and go to your area of concern you use to see the wind arrow directions. This doesn't happen any more. This was a very quick way of finding out direction. The list of favorite places can't be arranged with your favorite spot on top. You have to scroll through to find it. Not so good anymore. But still very good app.

Edit: Appreciate the fast response, hoping the fix is equally timely. Missing wave forcast I downloaded this app to figure out what day it would be good to go fishing based on wind and wave action. The wave action is completely missing from Oct 2nd forward, been checking for days hoping the app was just temporarily acting up.. hope it's not dropping that feature! That's the only reason I use this app! Was good up until now.

Superb app for all sports depending on weather conditions. Using it for quite some time now. Graphically atractive. It deserves 5 stars but because the widget flickers since last update I want to attract attention of devs! Keep up the good work!

This is essentially an advertisement for the pay version and nothing more. Or you could view it as a VERY limited demo (claim below says fully functional, but nearly every option you click brings up a popup telling you to get pro). In any case its difficult to navigate and has given me 0 insight into the impending hurricane. No thanks on the free trial - the limited demo you have here doesn't even come close to earning a purchase from me. Hint - maybe don't litter the UI with "pro" features?
