Reviews for µTorrent®- Torrent Downloader
Works splendidly as a move torrent client. But it's weird, I used it to download a large file 50+gb, I've had plenty time to watch it, and I noticed, if I let my phone go to sleep (as in turning the screen off and being in idle mode), the download will stop. It's only when the app is open and on screen that the download consistently runs... Perhaps it's an issue with my phone automatically putting apps in standby when not in use. Anyway, it works well when I have it pulled up.
Works great except for a few small problems. You can't delete any torrents from inside the app, and if there are any incomplete downloads they just stay on your system. Also, sometimes a file will get to 99% downloaded and just quit, and because you can't delete it and try again you're just stuck with a mostly downloaded file.
this app is popup ad hell!! have no idea how good this app is because when I would try to bring a magnet to it all these ads would pop up before I could get it there. not just 1 ad either. 3 ads in a row. I'd finally get to X out of the app and there would be another one right on its heels. you guys need to tone down the ads on here. I understand the need for revenue and all. and I can easily tolerate ads normally because you gotta make money somehow. but this is way too much.
Used to be fine, and after the most recent update they ruined it. You used to be able to pause and start torrents from the list, now you have to click on the torrent, then pause/start it. But each one has to be individually selected making it tedious to start/stop several torrents at a time. Probably gonna use something else. And that's in the pro version mind you, I can't imagine how riddled with ads the free version must be.
Terrible. Ads are out of control. Interface extremely buggy. Many features absent. Does not download properly. I used the windows versions for 13 years and it worked great. The android version gets worse with every update. It displays thumbnails for the wrong torrents. It displays status info on the wrong torrents. It spends hours (12+) DLing at 3+mbps yet no files increase in size and no prog changes. Now using a different torrent app and it works great - fully featured and functional
Something very wrong with this app. Was working fine a couple of days ago and past 2 mo, but today the download speed just kept dropping and dropping. Thought it was my internet, but then I switched to Turbo Torrent and everything worked fine. Hell the downloads are even faster on there and I didn't have to spend $4 to get rid of ads because there aren't any.
Video ads that pop up are essentially app-breaking for anyone who keeps their phone hooked up to a sound system. Every 10 minutes a loud gaming sound or other ridiculous interruption takes over all audio and interrupts whatever is playing. This fact alone makes μTorrent so frustrating to use that it isn't worth keeping. Aside from that, it works great. Too bad all the good in the world can't make up for the horrible way ads are presented You just lost me to LibreTorrent
