Ever since the most recent update the app has become almost unusable. If I reblog a post or open notes it sends me to the top of the dash. I can't scroll for more than two minutes without the app freezing and/or crashing. I love Tumblr so I hope y'all resolve these issues soon. I know it isn't just me as I've seen numerous people complaining of the same issues.

There is a promt on the "For you" page, usually it says "More Like This" with three post options below it. No matter what, the posts one open. You can see a motion when you tap, but they do not open. I think its a cool feature to have on the app, but unfortunately my app is up to date, I opened and closed it, restarted my phone, and that function in the app is not working; no matter how you try to tap on the posts presented, nothing happens. Please look into this? ♡

too many ads make the app extremely annoying to use. one ad every few pages. most of them repeat over and over. once is enough! if I see the same ad repeatedly I get angry at the advertiser and make it a point never to buy their product. Many of the ads occupy more than one page. This behavior by Tumblr makes me suspect the company is about to fail, to go out of business. I know I'm going to stop using it now.

Listen, I love Tumblr. It's the only site of it's kind left. I've been here for a decade. But the app has been absolutely awful to use recently. If I scroll down twenty or so posts, or open my notes and scroll down, or hell, even trying to look at my OWN BLOGS posts, crash. Crash upon opening. Crash within 2 minutes. Crash for looking at it funny. I can't use the app anymore. It's ridiculous. You need to fix this issue, because I know it isn't me. It worked perfectly fine before I updated it. :(

Aside from the fairly well known issues with the essentially useless search function, this is a pretty good app for the hellsite that is Tumblr. In the past, developers were slow to stop an ad that was triggering and couldn't be blocked by filtering options but they listened quickly today when it came to the tabs being upside down.

I am a long-time user and the mobile app has gone downhill steadily in the time I have used it (~6 years.) Increased ad frequency is a major annoyance. As of about a month ago though, ads have been opening the Google play store without my having tapped them at all. I'm talking ads that I scrolled past several posts before randomly being "clicked on." I can guess as to the reasons for this, I doubt it is just a bug, and it makes me avoid using the app at all.

Recently the tumblr app is horrible. There are ads every two posts. Ads that take up your entire screen. Ads that put themselves at the top of your screen and take up half it. Ads that play sound automatically and can't be muted without touching the ad. Ads that automatically take you to the app store if you scroll by them. It slows my entire phone down to the point of locking up and needing to be restarted before it works again. This may as well be an ad viewing app. Social media for ads.

Super user friendly, with the most customizable options I've seen on any social media app ever! You can choose your own experience too, which I think is very important considering how most apps take away any control on what you see. Also the easiest app to remain anonymous on, so that's a plus. The coding can be a little glitchy at times, but overall, I'd confidently say it's the best social media app, and there isn't any other like it.

App keeps getting progressively worse each update. There is no longer a way to turn off sounds for notifications without turning them off completely. There are ads every two posts that slow down the app and data. The bot problem keeps getting worse with no resolution in sight. Search function is useless. It is quickly going the route of Facebook and about to be completely unusable. There is no way to reblog without using the quick feature nor anyway to turn its off. This app deserves zero stars.

The app isn't sending notifications for messages, currently. Been about 3 days since I was made aware of it. I have to be in the app to be notified (which negates the point of a notification). I also agree with other reviews, that there's a lot of ads. It's after every 3-4 posts, interrupts the flow when you're just scrolling through the feed aimlessly.
