Reviews for TP-Link Tether
Don't know what the bad reviews are about. I've been using for years, no problem. Was sharing my internet with tenant who kept giving password to everyone. Blocks in a second. Notifications for new and known devices instantly. I have ip cameras, tablet, phones, smart TV, fire stick all stay connected very consistently. Never had to contact support, so can't speak to that. Will say TP-Link is easiest to setup and use.
Poor performance, it can't find my router unless I am connected to the router's wifi, even though it is searching with Bluetooth. The remote management does not work if you witch to AP mode. It is too cumbersome having to setup for a cloud ID if you can't control the router remotely on router mode or AP mode. Why do you even put the option in the app when it stops working if you switch it?
This is a review of the Archer AX11000 router and the app, which didn't work. The router set up easily, and the app installed. That was the end of easy. Some devices failed to ever connect to the internet through the router, whiles others had intermittent internet access. Some connected to the router, while others failed to ever connect. The ethernet ports worked, and the guest network worked more often than the secured networks. Frustrating days. Happy to return the router, uninstall the app.
