Reviews for Star Wars™: KOTOR
This is an amazing game, if you've never played it you should. The adaption to mobile is quite good, but I do have a couple of minor complaints. * Signing into google play doesn't seem to have synced my games, so when my phone died I lost all my saves, this should really be fixed. This is a major problem imo. * Some of the font scaling should be changed, it's too small on my pixel 5 * It would have been really nice if they had updated the graphics.
This game has always been one of my favorites since it's release on Xbox. The controls aren't really great but not unplayable. It's difficult to play some of the minigames since this game doesn't support multi-touch. The combat UI is small and I keep accidently hitting something else. You can't go through a list of targets with a touch of a button like you could on PC or Xbox.
I absolutely love this game. However, the controls for the swoop racing are absolutely abysmal. I just don't see how it is possible to actually beat the swoop races on tatooine without proper controls. I've tried probably three dozen times and I can't for the life of me get under 25 seconds. You need a 23 or 22 second race to win. It's incredibly frustrating. They need to insert a slide at the bottom to control the swoop bike. Please fix this!
game was working good for the most part up until I had to load going through a door and the loading bar would get stuck short of midway. I'd have to close the app and load up a load PREVIOUS of that when I went through the door, losing however many minutes of gameplay. not a huge deal because it didnt happen often. twice I think. but the third time it happened I thought if I uninstall and re install the game it might fix it. well I open it up and lost everything. right close to the last part too!
Better graphics than the original, it plays really well. Easy to use. Yavin Station is included. I've played this thousands of times on the original Xbox, and I feel like it was the same thing, which is amazing. I just wish you could have different control settings. I had an extremely hard time with Swoop racing, and a hard time on the Ebon Hawk's turrets. Overall I'm extremely satisfied. Thank you for not messing up my nostalgia lol.
Runs extremely well, overall. The touch screen controls take some getting used to, but it feels pretty natural once you get the hang of it. I did notice that the brightness slider in the settings menu didn't work for me, but it hasn't ended up being that much of an issue for me. Haven't experienced any major crashes yet. A couple of times I minimized to go into a different app, then came back to a black screen, but restarting fixes it and you don't lose any progress if you quicksave beforehand.
Love the game but it does have issues. Characters occasionally break, and you have to revert to old saves, so I've lost several hours of progress. Got to the final planet and it happened and the character's icon said "something is broken. Very broken" instead of their name and I couldn't progress because that character was necessary to move forward. I've considered restarting but it's really annoying because I've had to before.
I'm playing on Pixel 6, and there's a bug where the subtitles for EVERY first line of dialogue spoken by any character or the system (tutorials, etc.) does not appear. You'll get stuck watching characters' heads bob up and down for a minute or two at a time. If a character only has one line of dialogue, you just don't get to see it. I really loved this game on PC (it's possibly one of my top 5 games of all time), so it's disappointing to see such a major bug. Honestly, it ruins it for me.
Never played this on PC, but really enjoy it on mobile. Touch screen controls need refinement, though. Too often do I initiate conversations between teammates when trying to select enemies to attack. A button to cycle through targets would be a great welcome. Playing with a controller allows you to do this, but when out and about I never have the controller with me. Also, I've played this a couple years ago but never finished it due to a game-breaking glitch where some characters we're blacked out and not selectable, and I had to restart the entire game, losing hours upon hours of progress. Only now trying again with the hope I can get through it this time.
Great game, takes me back. However, the space battle controls are lacking, not being able to move the camera and shoot makes it unnecessarily hard. If that can be fixed I'd give 5 stars. Otherwise, I haven't experienced any problems or glitches other than the ones I encountered playing the PC and Xbox versions, which are infuriating but not game breaking.
