Reviews for Star Wars Card Trader by Topps
So. I 1st got this app in 2015. I've deleted and downloaded a few times. All my data was saved. It's changed over the years You will not pull the best cards in packs without real money. But the idea is it's a trading game. The design is to merge cards to make better ones and trade for the ones you need. It takes time but I have some really good cards I've pulled from packs That being said. It def has a glitchy aspect. It will freeze up and drain your battery. I have to close and reopen too much
Before the new version was launched at the end/middle of last year, I loved this app. But the new version is not nearly as good. The app boots you out and makes you restart it all of the time. Trading between other people absolutely SUCKS and is COMPLETELY POINTLESS now. It takes way too long, because the app is super slow in general. Not to mention the fact that that the old version let you trade to 10 people at a time, the new version...a grand total of one person...
They've absolutely destroyed this app. I don't know what possessed them to do a complete overhaul but the app is annoying and difficult to understand. The old version was so simple and easy to get cards and keep track of your collection. I'm furious cause I'm abandoning the app altogether and all the time, collecting and money i spent is going to waste.
Amazing collection of cards and trading system. However, the app runs like garbage on my otherwise blazing fast OnePlus 6t. The 6t is one of if not the fastest Android phone, so there should be no issues. That said, my phone heats up way past where it has ever been. I assume that this causes thermal throttling which then makes the app run terribly. PLEASE optimize your software.
It is easy to understand and fun to collect sets but my main problem is how laggy it is and how little you get credits. The challenges aren't challenging and when you do them they give you a little credits. One change I would put in would be more ways to get credits. Maybe minigames, in-game raffles, getting credits for completing sets. Also I would reccomend making it so that you can skip the cutscene in the lock-ons. The May the 4th event was so great and I would like to see more like it.
Bottom tier app for a top tier brand. Nothing fully works. Disable all the sounds and vibrations, sound still occurs. Many buttons/prompts dont do what they're suppose to. Some areas are hyper sensitive while others need 2 or 3 taps to work. Trading is annoying and frustrating. Workbench makes you scroll for eternity to get to what you want. Dont get awards half the time once set is complete. Finding the set list is hard. Trading for particular cards is annoying. The fallout 76 of TCG apps.
Let's me reminisce about the times of Star Wars Force Collection. I mainly play these types of games so I can identify very obscure characters or backstories. With the new update its taken a hit and still needs lots of improvements, but it is still very fun. Trades go invalid and cards go missing in case you want to retrade. No reverse search for wishlist so one can find people looking for a specific card. Lots of nitpicky stuff for improvements.
App is incredibly unintuitive, confusing, and buggy. Fantastic concept but horribly executed. Receiving awards (Unique cards) adds excitement to opening packs and is the highlight of the app. Unfortunately, packs are often incorrectly or ineffeciently described which causes issues when trying the complete a set. Additionally, the requirements and deadline to complete certain sets are rarely clear or easy to find. Thought this was a newer app,but was shocked to find it's been around for years
Fun, but full of bugs. Will suck your battery dry. Just know that it's slow, you get lots of error messages, uses so much battery my phone gets hot, redownloads every picture individually and every time you look at it making for very slow performance. I put up with that stuff, but just barely. Don't expect to get sets of much of the fun stuff without real money
I've had this app off and on my phones for a few years now. Mainly off cause of the issues I have getting into the app and the countless errors I get while running it. Have to turn off Wi-Fi to even get into the app. 75% of the time I'm getting app isn't responding messages and have to close it out and start up again.
