Reviews for Mindustry
This is silly how much love goes into this free game. It's certainly not for everyone, but I've played this for several hours and I am STILL unlocking new content that changes the way I approach the game. The difficulty of enemies in between waves feels very inconsistent, though, and the pause feature is either a planning blessing or an easy-mode cheat, depending on how you look at it. Still - great game.
Exactly like the PC version! Not sure if this was created for the phone, then ported or the other way around, but they're identical. I picked this up for PC on the steam sale, and have loved it! A little easier with a keyboard and mouse, but the phone experience is very nice too! There doesn't seem to be any ads in this version either! Factorio with tower defense elements. Great game, give it a try!
This is the single best game I have ever played on mobile EVER! The controls are optimized for a touch screen unlike games I've seen before, feels challenging at first but it doesn't overwhelm you. You can play with the maps given (really good map designs) or you can make your own (infinite unique gameplay). The selection of buildings you can make allows you to play in many different ways. You can also chose different game modes when loading new worlds to give yourself new and unique challenges. I can't keep track of time when playing this game because its so engaging yet relaxed. I also give a huge bonus to the fact that there are NO ADDS! And this game runs really smooth no matter how many things are going on at a time! I love this game. I donated to them because this is such a high quality FREE game.
I downloaded this game, confusing it for Factorio. But still had as much fun as i wanted. The game involved resource managment, creating effiency, while fending off enemies. Every nook and cranny is a puzzle in how you can utilize the most profit in the least amount of space possible. Building stuff to balance out the need in the short term and long term.
This game is fantastic. I love figuring out every way to build efficient systems for mining, production, and tower defense. The graphics are easy on the eyes and fit the aesthetic perfectly. The controls are very easy to get a grip on, with inconveniences so minor that they don't take away from the experience. It isn't hard to figure out, and can be super satisfying with the right intuition. If I could show my love for this game more, I would. Damn Google and its 500 character limit!
Absolutely phenominal game. Simple, yet elegant, it provides an excellent gameplay experience. No ads, no microtransaction prompts, and a easy to learn hard to master framework that serves its gameplay well. I really enjoy the tools it gives for moving resources and the volume of ways you can approach a problem. Absolutely must recommend. A breath of fresh air in todays mobile game market.
Interesting and complex, but not complicated. Very much so helped by being able to pause the game and plan, find resources, and place buildings. Very satisfying to see the whole region working like a well-oiled machine. Would be improved by being able to select several buildings and see the total of how many resources they produce/require per second by those buildings. Also I need to be able to see the wave requirements for other maps while I am in a campaign map, so I know how long to go.
Love the game, I've had it for almost a year now. Its incredibly hard at some points, but that just makes it that much more satisfying to succeed. That being said, the controls on moble are really hard to work with and you end up getting too far behind the enemy difficulty to survive. Recently I tried the PC version and OMG the world has opened up to me. The controls are so much easier to handle yet everything else is the same. And its cross platform too. Its on Steam for cheap or free elsewhere
I do like the game, but fix disconnecting! I have had the problem of it stopping. A lot. But very good game! Also, I don't get the purpose of the door block. For another use for it, have all upgrade mech types (unless it is a ship, not a mech) not be able to cross over walls. And the door block will allow player to get in and out as a mech! Still a really really really really good game!
Ok as much as I do really enjoy the game, a major problem I see is that the waves come a bit too fast, you have like a minute or 2 between each wave and they're typically big swarms or air units which can disrupt your ammo supply to your turrets, don't get me wrong, it's an awesome game, but the tower defense aspect is extremely difficult. It does get frustrating when your core gets destroyed and you have to restart hours you spent on that sector but I guess that's apart of the experience?
