Reviews for LongShot for long screenshot
Close, but no cigar. The inability to join images that aren't of perfect width to each other, makes this useless to me. It's impossible to edit screenshots precisely to same width each time. Uninstalling & going to using Image Combiner. That does everything, vertical AND horizontal. No width problem.
Although I was disappointed to encounter a few small problems, it's still a very good app, and does a better job than any of the others I have tried. AFAIK, LongShot is the only app that allows any Android device to perform a true autoscrolling screenshot. Needless to say, it's well worth the two bucks to remove the ads.
Wow, I'm sorry, but this is pretty bad. I was excited about the concept, but it just simply does not work. It completely messes up stitching together pretty much everything I throw at it. It duplicates multiple lines of text in every attempt I did. Also, the interface is pretty confusing for what should be a super simple task. I'll keep an eye out for future updates. I hope it gets better!
Works like a charm with stock Android on a Pixel 2. Almost always stitches images perfectly on its own, and the manual adjustment tools make up for any imprecise auto-stitching. I use it for making long screenshots on Tumblr, Discord, Reddit, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, text messages, web pages, you name it. Been using this app for over a year and so glad I found it. Ads are unobtrusive to the point I barely notice them.
Great app, does what is needed and described with minimal ads. I bought it in appreciation of the minimal obnoxious ads. I don't know how to report a bug, so ill post it here. If you find your chrome tabs turn into a text list instead of pages: go to device settings >accessibility >downloaded services >turn off auto scroll for long shot.
Overall, very good. Does what I wanted it to do. The first time I did an autoscroll capture, it stopped before it actually hit the bottom of the page. The second time, it worked right, and I got the long screenshot I wanted. Great! Tested on Pixel XL 2
This app used to be great, but, ever since I updated to Android 11, it's been having issues taking screenshots in auto mode. Either it fails to take more than the first screenshot or it fails to combine the screenshots properly so I have to do it myself. At least manual still works if I uncheck auto scroll.
Edit: no longer capturing every section of screenshot. Seems to only capture first & last section. Clean app that fills a need currently lacking in Android 10. Autoscroll works alright for most applications, editing the crop is easy. You say that the screenshots dont compress, but the larger they get, the images appear to be compressing. Shorter shots look alright though (I can get up to 4 or 5 'pages' before things start to blur). Ads aren't intrusive. Quick access tray button makes this 👌👌👌
Great stitching app. The overlay can be a bit confusing because there's ads in between functional parts of the app. However, it lets you stitch up to 64 images and doesn't do a watermark over the final image. Overall it's great.
GOOD POINTS - Basic but works as intended and the ads seems unobtrusive, well done! The interface could do with some polishing. PRIVACY CONCERNS - Like the other apps I've tried, it uses its own internal browser, yet it's impossible to read the privacy policy. When selecting a browser to do so, nothing happens. That's a bit concerning, so I would never use the app for anything private. Especially nothing that requires logging in.
