Reviews for LiveJournal
My private posts have an "eye" icon with a number next to it. Different private posts have a different number next to the "eye". I assume the number refers to views, or entry expansions. Who is reading my private posts if the number goes up by several views since the last time I opened my own post?
UPDATE 2-4-22: Developer finally responds after 4 months? *eyeroll* I no longer have this problem, it fixed itself after a couple more updates. Now it won't let me go from an emailed new friend's post notification straight to the post. App is still trash. Sept Today's update wouldn't install. Tried again and again with no luck. Finally uninstalled and tried to reinstall and nope, won't do that either. This app has always been hard to use though. Who made it - 4 Russian squirrels in a basement?
I don't think I've ever seen an ad on this app. It's easy to use with options than are innate and it saves as you go so you can update an entry throughout the day before publishing.
It's way more user-friendly than the LJ app that existed maybe 7 years ago (thank God, that one sucked). However, there's still some kinks with it... It gives you the option to format text, but after you publish your entry, it doesn't show up. Also, for some reason it keeps cutting off the last sentence of my posts??? And the "currently feeling/listening to" options aren't there....
Really bad experience actually. Working from PC gets hectic, so I thought using an app will me save me time and effort. However, the app keeps crashing. There is undo option. I cannot place the images in place where I want to. These are some of the issues I faced while using the app for last 30 mins. You gotta do a lot of homework LiveJournal.
I know you guys must have put lots of work into this update, and we do appreciate this. However, from a regular user's point of view, it's completely detrimental to the functionality of the app. The user interface is clunky, creating a post is very confusing ("pages" seem pointless and it's difficult to navigate making a text post now. What was wrong with the old setup, when the vast majority of posts on LJ are text-heavy anyway?) and the "stories" function is redundant.
I can't post the subject in the app. Back in the day when I use to use the website it was ok but the app is poop.
Update* edited to five stars since they added the tag feature on posts 😊 * It's alright for reading posts, but i usually end up using mobile because i really hate that you can't view a tags page on a journal. It's too hard to find specific posts on the app.
