Reviews for Hero Wars: Alliance
Its a fun app I've been playing for some time, but there has been a decline in the competitive fairness between paying players and ad-watchers. There have also been some nasty ads that actually run three ads in one, which requires restarting the game to get out of, and you don't get the reward for watching. The app itself is about collecting heroes and the items to power them up, but the item collection gets a bit excessive at high levels. There are multiple battle modes, all team based.
The ad showing this as a puzzle game is completely misleading. It is never a puzzle. You dont get to control the combat. You dont get to control which items to put on your heroes. There is only ever one path for your heroes to take. Is this a game? No it is an application that simply enables you to make microtransactions. If you dont want to pay for micro transactions then you do have the choice to enlave yourself to endless ad watching.
Misleading advertisement! It's kind of expected that the ads always somewhat enhance the product, show its better side. However, in this case the ad shows completely different game. It was promising a fun puzzle, but all there is a repetive RPG which is no different from dozens of others out there. It's good that it's free to install, so the only thing I lost on it is my time.
I downloaded from an ad I saw with a puzzle. This game had a couple of those puzzles early in the game. Very disappointed I haven't seen more. Other than that, it's a typical automatic fighting game. Decent level up system. Decent character variety and upgrades without having to pay money. Still upset about those puzzles though. That was the whole reason I downloaded the game.
I have never played it, nor will I ever play it. I installed it simply to leave this review. I have gotten the ad for this game in other apps and the ad is inescapable. You can't skip it, you can't exit out of it. I have to restart apps to get it to go away. The content of this game could be great, but I'll never care to find out because the ads have pissed me off that badly. If you want people to play your game, maybe don't force it on them by making your ads a trap.
Bad game, costs 3 times what the desktop version does and is just not that good, desktop has more items and goodies plus pets to boost your damage in combat. You can actually play desktop without spending money and if you do its a few bucks here and there, mobil wants an arm and a leg for anything. Just don't do it.
I downloaded this solely for this review..... GET RID OF YOUR LYING TOWER ADVERT THAT WILL NOT CLOSE!!!! I have had to close out games just to be able to continue what I was trying to do because of your bugged out false advert with the towers. FIX IT OR GET RID OF IT! Edit: Adjusted stars because the advert was fixed shortly after this was posted.
Not as advertised. ***SPOILER*** You only get to do the puzzles in the advertisement after beating a series of levels. End of spoiler. You should know. Otherwise, yeah, game is fun. Can be addictive, rather engaging than a few others. 3 is only due to bugs or functions. I have questions.. Why does this try and force you to install games and apps from ads that appear to be watchable? Where is the x button to close out? Is this normal or is your function normal? What gives? Ty..
Mostly balanced and fun little game. Cute characters. Lite story, but it's not really an RPG. Clean graphics. Nice options to control characters during adventure fights, or simply put on "auto" fight mode. (If you want true hands-on fight abilities, then go play a real game on your console or computer). You can get extra in-game currencies by watching ads as little or as much as you want. No tricks. No glitches. No click-bait...so far. Cons: A little repetitive. Not always clear how to progress in the game.
Misleading ads. As I've seen in response to reviews similar to mine, it's a multi-faceted game, but that doesn't mean you can't put aspects of the different ways the game is played all in the same ad. 30 seconds is more than enough time to show these things. It's really about getting people to download in the first place. I uninstalled almost immediately, but the devs still get credit for me downloading it. Very disappointed.
