Reviews for Recipe Calendar - Meal Planner
I haven't used this app as yet but from what I can see it is a good one. The recipe selection is wonderful and many of them are in servings suitable for one person which is great. I have been trying to find a meal-planning app similar to this one and this is nice. I have scanned through the recipe portion and they seem not too complicated either.
I'm really on the fence about this app. On one hand, I like the weekly planning thing. But I spent more than a half hour trying to make it respond to any loading or synchronizing, and I couldn't find a way to edit the create a plan. I had a few things saved in favorites but they never showed up in create a plan. On the other hand, I don't like to get a tastey idea in my head only to lose the page because it wouldn't load. I find it hard to want to keep an app when the only way I can choose the option to meal plan for children is to pay 6$/mo. Purchase the full version, sure. But not a subscription. I have 4 people eating in my household. Two of them are 3, two of them are adults. I am not paying a subscription for ideas on dishes for toddlers. I'm also not in this app to read 5 pages of blogs just to look at the recipes to see if i have the ingredients or time to cook the dishes. If i wanted to read blogs, i would. I don't care why Judy started to cook with coconut oil. I just want to see what the recipe is. End of story.
needs better ability to share recipes. it's pretty difficult to make a meal plan with another person when you can't really link recipes back ans forth. some recipes give a link to the author's website and others don't... kinda clunky overall but good access to recipes.
This app has so much promise but falls short in one important area. I cannot get any recipes I've tried to import via URL. If the import function for adding recipes worked, it would be 5 stars. Without the ability to import recipes via URL, I cannot continue my subscription.
I like the way it suggests meals for a week and you can add your own in. But I find it annoying and frustrating that you have to pay to see gluten free meal plans. I'm gluten intolerant and I'd appreciate being able to get a meal plan that I can eat just like everyone else who doesn't pay. Additionally I don't see the point of having to pay for filtering out allergies. I'm deadly allergic to shellfish so seeing it in the suggested meals is also annoying.
Just downloaded, I thought I could add recipes from links easy (since I already use My CookBook's app) but it was a tedious retyping mess. Put me off right away. Blasted with gross non cultural recipes like Egg sandwhich for breakfast! Ew. Gross. No offense but definitely not a everyone app.
Honestly looks like this could be an AMAZING app...if it worked. Example: on each recipe there is a heart shape you can click to add the recipe to your favorites list...problem is when you click the heart it just shows you the recipe again and does not add it to your favorites.
I would give it zero stars if I could. this app does not work at all. can't add my own recipes, can't add recipes to my menu plan, can't make shopping list, Won't go to website to add recipes, makes me log in and register every time I open the app. I just signed up today and want a refund.
I've downloaded this app and logged in and tried to see first receipe and it was impossible to do this because ads just keep popping up. Everytime I closed the ad and scrolled down or try to read the receipe another ad popped up. If you advertise that your app is free then please deliver that promise and do not promise and take people's info and make it impossible to use it without paying. Uninstalled it.
You can't add something simple like an apple or a sandwich to your meal plan. Every single thing in the meal plan must be an established recipe. Even if you want to take the time to create a recipe for your ham and cheese sandwich (and remember you'll need a new recipe tomorrow when you decide to have a few chips with that sandwich), you can only do that after registering with the app. App clearly designed by people who have never actually used it.
