Reviews for Era of Celestials
update: After hitting max level and staying max level for roughly almost a week, I am disappointed that the chance to get gear for the fourth tier promotion seems to be locked behind doing content with other people. the reason this is a disappointment is due in part to the fact that finding people to do said content with can be a bit of a bore. in other words, please adjust drop rates considering those of us who solo queue for just about everything. even in the rare group queue I was in, my drops weren't as good as they were made out to be, in fact, everything seems to be worse than my currently equipped gear, and I dunno how to fix that without having to spend real money. 🤷♂️ overall, despite a few paywalls that can be tricky to maneuver, I'm upgrading my 3/5 to a 4/5. Original: it's ok for a mobile game, not as nearly as amazing as the trailers showed it off to be but it's, again, ok; lowkey annoyed by the whole "top up" thing but if you have the time to do all the daily stuff, which I manage to do before, during, and after work despite being fulltime, you can usually min-max the most of that and get at least some sort of upgrade. Been playing for the last 3, 4 days and I'm already level 470~ with 1.5mil BR. It's not hard to get a simple grasp of what you're supposed to do, but without proper suggestions beyond "do this stuff until it's done", it can become kind of monotonous. Then, let's not forget the quest lock: if you are not a certain level, especially as you're reaching the 370s and 400s, sometimes you'll be told you have to level before doing a quest. While it makes sense, it turns into a grind if you're not paying to top up and be a VIP and returning to the EXP instance and using all your resources to get as many levels as possible in the 4, 5 minutes it gives you. Ultimately, do I recommend it? Yes. It's a good time killer and I like logging in daily to just kill time and see what I can do for the day, even if it is all the same stuff. It's not for everyone, but as someone who plays warcraft, where it's almost the same thing of doing daily stuff to get somewhere, I do recommend it if only as a time killer for a long trip.
Not big on the automatic gameplay function and the UI is way too overloaded, I can hardly see the environment for all the buttons. It's fast paced but it is almost like it's trying to teach you the entire game all at at once. Again but give on the automated play mechanic but it is kind of optional. Everything else seems ok, sounds story arc which is great, graphics are wonderful.
For some reason I suddenly can't get back into the server that I was playing on. When the login screen comes up, and Google Play logs me in, it tries to put me on a Chinese server. When I tap to change it, the tapping sound plays and nothing else happens. If I go on into it, then my character that I've been working on is gone, so it's definitely a different server. EDIT: Sure, I'll be certain to checkout the in-game support option, since I CAN'T GET ON THE GAME!
Great game,TERRIBLE GAMPLAY!!!!!!!!!! It has to be said in it needs to be fixed. I enjoy these types of RPG games. And I can tell you I've never seen such an intriguing game like this when I downloaded it I thought it would be good and it was until the countless number of bugs, glitches, and pointless downloads. What's worse is the experience is break for an RPG game, when you add gameplay, it all goes downhill. I believe that this game still has potential. It can be fixed and they can do better
The game pretty much played it's self. The features I saw in the ads we're not present in the game, like character customization. I felt like maybe it had some Diablo esque mechanics and would be fun to waste time with but I pretty much just tapped through the story so it could take care of the fighting and running around. There might have been a way to turn off the auto but 3 minutes into the game there was so much interface on the screen it made it look like the matrix 😒 so I couldn't find it It wasn't a bad idea but execution was rough
There is so much needless junk on the screen that I could not see what I was supposed to be fighting or doing. Banners with clues would appear off to the side, so far over that I could only see the left edge and not long enough for me to actually Read them. Also kept getting pressured to add additional content, that my phone did not have the room for (the base game maxed out my 1gig of game space from the start). There was an option to turn off the banners, I did so, but the banners remained, making it even harder to see anything on my phone. This game design is better suited to a console or computer game and not as a phone App. Because of all the ads and added stuff I give this game a 2 rating (graphics got a 5, but that is it.)
This game is not bad, but it tends to move so fast that it sucks you in and leaves you with little time to think. ***I am VERY unhappy that the ads are bald-faced lies and blatantly misrepresent the game as allowing you to customize the way your character looks. Unless it is at the end where it is meaningless, I have seen no sign of any character customization.*** Also, the game specs need to be shown because I am constantly getting messages that my system is not running at the best speed or performance. **The specifiations should warn people that playing on a really small screen can caise eye-strain and migraines -- it has done both to me!** On top of that, everything is so tiny that I can barely see what is happening and FORGET making out any details -- it was clearly designed for desktop computers with large screens -- and it is NOT amenable to zooming. That really takes away from enjoying the game. The Manual controls are NOT intuitive and, if they are supposed to work like a joystick, they work exactly the reverse of any of the high-quality joysticks I used back when my son and I played airplane, spaceship and other simulator/RPG games from SIERRA, ORIGIN, etc. Because of that, I have no choice but to use the Auto Mode and that means I am being dragged along by the game instead of actively playing it and having fun. I often find myself killing what feelss like thousands of monsters because -- except in instances -- there is no easy way to tell if you have finished a quest. Unlike most of the RPGs and MMORPGs I have played, there is no time allowed for exploring this interesting world. That ruins the game for me, because I enjoy exploring and have often managed to increase my skills, abilitties and level just by doing that. I find strictly regimented games boring because I tend to rebel against any system that will not allow me to indulge my curiosity, which is a major part of my personality. I may sound like a nitpicky old timer, but I have been playing computer games since Before they were released to the public with the first microcomputers. I have folloed the changes in games -- good and bad -- and there have been a lot of both. I have enjoyed playing a LOT of games, including several that got what I felt were undeservedly bad reviews and many that I felt SHOULD have been reviewed as real dogs! I really wish THIS game was better because --- if they fixed the things that bother me and got rid of the ridicuously greedy money-making schemes -- it couuld be a fun game for everone -- whether tthey like to play slow or fast.
Not bad, but a LOT of sub buttons all over the screen (menu buttons for different things). I wish I could turn off voices from other players, and I hate friend requests every 3 seconds popping up in the limited viewing screen we already have. Edit: the game froze just after writing the above, and seemingly erased my character I just spent the past few hours playing with. I think I'm just going to uninstall now.
Trying to log into game and met with a "load balancing error" which locks into a loop of requesting server address. As to gameplay, there's too much on the screen and this is difficult depending on screen size. Tried the PC mode, and it just installs Blustacks and installs the Android app. Tried to open a support ticket and it immediately vanished. Thought this was an error, but the ticket was opened and then labeled as completed. Not going to reinstall to fix any error, not worth the effort.
I really love the game, I mean it has its ups, but it also has its downs. For example, the graphics are yes, not the best, but they work and they still allow the gameplay you'd expect on a top RPG. I really love the game but its kind of too easy, like yes I love that I level up easily but its so hard to die, the game does it for you, even in the instances, while yes you have to move a lot, its hits the boss automatically like a bot. While I love this game, yes, it still needs improvement. -User.
