Reviews for Secure VPN-Safer Internet
A reliable VPN. You can access websites and watch videos even with the free version. Over the year or so that I've used it it never broke down, and always connected.
Very good not stopped using it since I got it, doesn't seem to kick me off of it even after continuous hours of use and doesn't pummel me with ads. Works for Netflix when I wanna watch shows not in my country unlike some other apps that promise they can and don't. Very happy and suprised. . Only downside is if your internet isn't the best or it's too crowded watching stuff on Netflix doesn't load good but that's more of a personal issue then the apps problem
A great smooth experience...Other free VPNs are good but have a very high ping, and a low ping only with subscription....this vpn provides a delay below 90ms which is sufficient..but you will notice a slight change of you have a high speed wifi, the one i have is 10-25ms....but is still negligible. Great work guys!
Overall the application is okay however I have two issues with it. One it keeps disconnecting from the VPN with no notifications so I have no idea when it disconnects leaving me unprotected for who knows how long. Also, the ads have sound. I do not mind ads since this is free, but having sound just randomly start is annoying. I am considering downloading another application and deleting this one. Edit dropped another star gone as it says its connected, but looking at the app it's not
Great, simple, effective app. I could live with the ads since it was more reliable than other free VPN apps I'd tried... Until just now. While in a quite area I was using the app while killing time, and an ad played for another app, I think a meditation app. It played sound through my phone's loudspeaker. MY PHONE WAS SET TO SILENT (alarm-only). That is completely unacceptable behavior. Instant uninstall. There's acceptable uses of ads in apps... then there's this pile of rubbish.
I am having a really hard time using Secure VPN. I downloaded it to my phone and paid the annual premium so I could access movies on Amazon Prime that are currently blocked due to my location. I selected the appropriate Amazon Prime server in the list and clicked the connect button. Next I opened my amazon prime app and still get the same location restriction. Also, I was under the impression I could use this on multiple devices but now that I've downloaded it to my phone, I can't figure out how to also download it to my laptop. It's day 1 and so far, I'm striking out everywhere I turn.
It was great until recently. Used to have like triple the servers it offers now. UK, Canada and 2 USA servers remain. It sometimes takes ages to connect or refuses to connect, it will now just disconnect by itself (something it did before but after a few hours, now it happens more frequently and quicker). I was currently running a USA servers when I checked my IP address - it still had my own IP address shown. So no, I do not trust this VPN anymore. What happened? But sorry, I'm out
