BAND - App for all groups

It's ok. Being in several different bands, we use this app for marking ourselves not available for bookings. Unfortunately, maybe it's me, but I cannot find a way to sync the different Band calendars. I have it export to my Google calendar, but having to mark myself out on numerous Band calendars is inconvenient and time consuming. I wish i could just enter it once, and it syncs amongst the different Band calendars. App is not very user friendly.

Clunky, counterintuitive and confusing. WAY too many settings notifications and others that can't be turned off, terrible interface design and awful, intrusive and irrelevant "Notices" and other garbage content that just gets in the way. This app should be dumped - look elsewhere for better solutions. If the developer has to refer people to the BAND Guide, something is really wrong.

I have found this app to be very, very useful in getting my band and parents organized, but I've also run into a problem with notifications not getting pushed through, even while turned on - and it's hampering our communication. I've just switched phones and now my own notifications won't arrive until I open the app in the foreground - even in the background, it won't update. If we could have a fix for that, a lot more of our students and parents would probably be better about using the app.

Awesome and Powerful Tool We've been using this for our church youth group and it's been incredibly useful! Convenient for us youth leaders in order to organize events, announcements, etc, and the youth loves it too because it gives them a dedicated place for them to socialize and see what people are up to. I wish the aesthetics of the calendar was a little better (it ends up looking rather small and cluttered), but everything else is just super!

I use this to run my girl scout troop & love it. It's very user friendly for the non- techie. The only thing I would change would be is for it BAND to automatically save a draft of a post. Sometimes I get interrupted & then close out all windows, forgetting that I was composing a post. Edited 11/2021 from 4 to 5 stars because the app was improved to include the post draft save feature (several months ago), and I can't wait to use a new feature to track the frequency of member check-in.

It's great and really helpfull! It is free, and you don't need to buy anything for this to work! It is really easy to use, helps me to commuticate with my friends, has a calendar to show upcoming events you can make, gives you notices if theirs anything new, and lots of other cool things, too! I recommend that if you need to talk to a group in any sort, get this app!!!

It is a great idea. However, when I downloaded it last night while sleeping then turned on my phone this morning, several apps said that they were not longer working. So many apps did this (repeatedly), I couldn't use my phone at all. Went to safe mode and deleted the Band app and now all is well. Very disappointed. Had some great expectations but now I'm scared to download it again.

Really like the app. It is somewhat hard to navigate but that comes with practice. The plethora of features make up for the time taken navigating. But I wish the notifications would show their content on a smart watch. So far, on all of my various smart watches, when I receive a Band notification it only shows "BAND: Go to Band" on any of the watches.

It's mostly fine, I guess. But if you don't like read receipts, there's no way to disable them and they will be sent even if you've only opened your drop menu to access system functions where the notification had been displayed. There's also no way to post images without thumbnails from all of your recent media appearing on screen. I reached out to the developer who didn't help. This is particularly annoying as my job requires me to use it. I'll be accessing from chrome and uninstalling.

I've put my review to 1 star. Their "promotional" content is getting more and more prevalent. You can't block it from popping up because it counts as a normal band post which is so stupid. When the whole point of this app is to be able to manage notifications efficiently I'll probably find a solution elsewhere. Previously I said this app was just a work in progress but it had potential. Good changes are slow to come and they're trying to capitalize too hard on a very unfinished product.
