It's a required app, it basically allows internet access to all the Android apps. Without it, Android apps would fail to collect to the internet. Regarding the app updates, I didn't notice any benefit from updating. As a matter of fact, it seems like the updates make the phone and apps run a little slower and freeze sometimes. Plus, it uses up more storage space. But I assume it helps increase security I suppose. Though I had better experience using the factory version of this app.

I have tried to update this app now for days. I have updated 27 other apps and they updated just fine. But this one stops at 96% for hours on end and it never completes update. Please fix it so i can properly maintain my phone to be efficient. Ever since my phone is so slow and I have reset my phone, turned it on, and I have full bars with great wifi at home. Like I said all the other apps updated quickly, this one will not go past 96%. Its annoying.

Same as others here! It shows that Play Store and others need to be updated and when you try to so the updates they sit pending! There are even a couple apps that were not used and removed showing to updated. Then I hit cancel on them and it freezes up and Google Play App crashes or my screen freezes! I have cleared caches, restarted my phone and turned it off and back on after a few mins, but when I turn the phone back on and try updating again it shows still in "Pending Install mode.😤🤬😡

Gave 2 stars just in case it has a purpose I don't understand. My websites constantly freeze up or stop in the middle of downloads. My phone randomly says I have no service until I restart it. It's much slower than before so I have no idea what this app does for my 'web experience' besides taking up space on my phone that I could use for apps I actually want and slowing it down. You can't uninstall it and have no real idea of why your system needs it when it didn't seem to need it before 🤷

This is so effed up. When I look to update my apps, this app says it's needs to be updated. And I press update. And it just doesn't do a dang thing. It is literally stuck on my Google Play store asking to be updated. I have turned my phone on and off several times to hopefully reset it. Nothing. Nada. When I go into the app itself, it says it already has been updated. I have to keep restarting my phone bc my screen freezes
