Reviews for AirDroid: File & Remote Access
Great app! Perfect for transferring my pics and videos seamlessly from my android phone to my mac. Don't know what I would do without it! No cords or wires needed. Within seconds my files are sent. The only drawback is that you can't select more than 1 file to send so it can be a bit time consuming if you have alot to transfer. Otherwise works great.
I love this app. Makes it much easier to put pics and music onto or out of my phone. It's personally easier through the computer site, but you still need the app to make it work. Overall, would completely recommend if you have a Mac Computer and an LG/Samsung phone. I have been using for over a year with multiple devices and have had no real problems. Very easy to maneuver and easy to access. Once again, love this app and would recommend.
This app, and its PC counterpart, are great for moving files between your phone(s), tablet(s), and personal computer(s). It also allows for remotely controlling or supporting from a distance, but I have only used it while on the same WiFi network, and not over the web. I have questions about the security of transmitting across the web, and weather VPN tunneling is used in that scenario. I have enjoyed using this app, and will likely upgrade to a premium account in the near future.
Great App. Advanced, easy to use full feature connection to rooted and non-rooted devices. I have been using it for years to manage files and share my screen with coworkers from my PC. I connect from my browser on my PC to manage my contacts, music, documents, texts as well. You can also access from other phones, tablets using thats devices browser in an emergency to access everything on your phone including the find my phone feature. I you want a break from small screens this app is for you.
This app makes it so easy to transfer content from the phone to the PC and vice-versa and you are able to even put files in just about any location (Even more locations if the device is rooted). There are very many useful features such as screen-mirroring and remote control from the PC itself. Additionally, there is a security feature where if you lose your phone, you can lock it from the computer and have the potential to find its location (Location must be on, however). $20.00 a year is VERY worth the money considering all that comes with this app. It's light-weight and does not hinder the performance of the phone or PC. (Trust me, my phone is a J7-perx from mid 2017 and still the app works very well with respect to performance).
AirDroid is a pretty good way to broadcat and control your devices remotely. You don't need to do anything drastic to connect your devices, and it's easy to set up (~15 minutes). However, it has about 0.25-0.5 second delay and low quality if you do not have the pro version purchased. Overall, it is an easy way to display your devices and control them, free or purchased.
Almost works. I cannot get the Send button to enable on the PC after I type a message and enter a phone number. It only enables if I am replying to a message. Update: I figured out the number must not contain any dashes or parentheses or the send button will not enable. I will up my rating by one. The other thing is it frequently complains that the network connection is lost. It also always warns me to turn on wifi. I have unlimited data and dont need to be constantly reminded.
Extremely unreliable but great when it works. I would never pay money for the full version because it's so hot or miss on whether or not it will actually connect. It also tells me my password is incorrect when I'm looking at it in plain text and I know it's not wrong. Then I clear the field and retype it and it works... I just wish this app actually worked all the time because the pro features look like they're worth the money. But again... it's so wildly unreliable.
This appears to run fine on Android, but is a huge resource lag in Windows 10, running at 3-7 percent of CPU in the background for no apparent reason. Also, the Windows app can't be installed from the Windows Store, and worse, seems to crash or freeze randomly. The system is no good without the desktop end working properly, even if the Android version seems stable enough. The entire experience feels half baked.
My only real complaint is that it won't let me reply to messages from third party apps from my pc. Everything else about this app is great. Still can't reply on kik or WhatsApp. When I switch to USB debug mode, it just continuously says its connecting. I get the message notifications on my pc, but when I click on reply, nothing happens. It just takes me to that "connecting" screen. Will be removing the app.
