You can't do better for free. My favorite is LG's stock sound recorder, but Voice Recorder is every bit as good, the ads aren't very intrusive (if they even have ads in the current version? ) my only gripe is the file format can require conversion- whatever. EVERY thing else I'm used to is either expensive or way more of a pain. This is great!

Love Love Love... Always Works + High Quality Audio + Multiple File types. I am a songwriting musician and this is my #1 go-to I rely on when I have a hot song idea I need to grab immediately. In fact right now I'm gonna find a good way to give this developer some money.... unless it's a hardware compatibility issue, your results should be excellent. In this free version there are ads but they are dismissable w a click. Not paid, just recommending highly from experience (various Samsung)

This is a must have app, it works great, and the recording quality is very good.I just have it set to mp3 nnnnnn THE BEST PART only see 1 ad each time the app is opened. I watch the video and continue what I was doing. It's fast & Ez. And because only a fool would expect a free app not to have any ads; I have to say the developers have done a great job. The ads are not intrusive and minimilistic, imo. Plus IT WORKS

This app is perfect for my purposes. I just want to record a short audio clip every once in awhile and text it to someone. Sometimes it might be singing the verse of the song. Sometimes it might be the background noise. And every time I've used it it works just the way I would expect. Very easy to use. And makes a decent recording. Thank you!

PRIVACY CONCERNS!! Pretty good app, but while playing or recording, it keeps the screen awake indefinitely. Even if not recording or playing it is actually difficult to fully close the app, there is an uncloseable notification that stays up with the app unnecessarily running in background. Impossible to close, pretty sure it's always using the mic and potentially sending information

A lot of ads which I would be okay with if the app actually did it's job. Recorded some things for a creative project and when I tried to access the files to play them back and review, the files did not play back. It shows that they are 0 seconds long but in reality they are 5-10min long. Really dissapointing.

Very hard to move back and forth within a recording. What look like FF and RW arrows bring you to a different recording. Trying to slide back and forth also very tricky, often accidentally switches to another recording, especially when tried early into the recording. Sound quality is ok.

I'm giving it 1 start because I no longer see the option for changing the recordings folder in the settings (Android 11) and the support team ignored my email. The recordings are stored in the app directory located in "Android/Data" which is not accessible by (most of the) other apps. There's also no batch export option in the app which makes it next to impossible to manage and access my recordings outside of the app.
