theScore: Sports News & Scores

This is one of the apps I've had the longest. I've tried all the sports scores apps and this has always been the best. Something happened several months ago though now and it is terrible. Constantly glitches, very slow, usually can't get it to get past the load screen. I've updated, deleted, re downloaded etc. I'm using a new Samsung so no issues there. Sometimes it shows which network the game is on, sometimes not. Mainly just want to open the app again to see the score, pretty basic.

I have used this sports app for more years than I can remember. I still like the app, but would like it better if I could have the old UI from years ago back. The current UI is slower and more complicated to navigate. I don't bet or play fantasy sports, I just want scores and recaps without sifting through a bunch of stuff I have no interest in. It used to be much easier for this app to do the simple things.

Was hoping for better. At a certain point the app stops and becomes unresponsive while scrolling through items. And, you have to restart the app and begin all over again, let alone try to find where you left off. Don't have this problem with my other sports news app. Had to uninstall it. Reminds me of streaming/trying to watch live games on the ESPN app, which inevitably stalls and stops working, leaving you watching a spinning wheel. If it doesn't work well, don't bother putting it out there.

I'm an old school user. I go back to when it was called score mobile. This app has served me well for 10 years plus. However the last two weeks all it's done is crash consistency. Despite the fact that I've uninstalled, and reinstalled twice. Sadly I'll have to look elsewhere for you to minute sports scores and news. It was an epic run the score.

I like that thisapp has a lot of stories and the ability to stayed in tuned of what's going on in the football world. Then there was the upgrade and was blown away with more stories within the feed. But When I want to read a particular story, the app crashes where I have to clear from memory restart the app. Frustrated and disappointed. Great app until it crashes.

Just takes too long to load now. Takes 35 seconds to move on from the load screen. Which is not ideal when you just need to check scores real quick. It didn't start out that way, when first installed it would load pretty quickly, but after a couple weeks of use it just dies down and moves at a snail's pace. 3rd time in the last year I've tried giving this app a chance but I'm done.

Used to love this app. However, over time it's gotten slower and slower. Now, over the past few days, I can rarely get it to load. I open it, get the full screen opening ad (of course that loads), and then the ad goes away and stays stuck on the full page "Score" logo. Force stop and clearing app cache worked once... But no longer. Guess it's time to find another app that is fast AND reliable.

I have used this app for years with the score widget front and center on my homepage, but the increase in advertising pop-ups this month has become intrusive to the overall experience. I guess that's the point with advertising to make you notice but it is causing me to investigate other options (which, obviously, defeats the point of the advertising). We'll see what wins out the search for better or reduced satisfaction with theScore
