Reviews for Star Wars: Jedi Challenges
Gameplay freezes after initial setup and I'm having to reinstall the app every time. Real shame as the game itself is good fun but not sure it's worth the effort during setup and then crossing my fingers that it's actually going to work... Feels like the product was released before it was anywhere near ready and I've had to invest in the headset and controller to find out the app isn't up to scratch.
Would love to recommend this, but sadly it feels like Disney abandoned Android support. The original Pixel is listed as a supported device, but newer versions of Android have broken things. I've also tried a Pixel 3, which would not power on the headset despite being a top-tier flagship Android phone that's been out for months. I suspect that many people bought this package over the black friday / cyber monday deals, and will only end up frustrated when they can't get it to work unless they have an iPhone. Super disappointing to see another great Star Wars game mishandled. To be clear, this NO LONGER EVEN WORKS on most Android phones, even some of the ones listed as officially supported. The hardware from Lenovo is extremely nice and a very impressive package, but the software from Disney is useless.
Says it is compatible with the S8+ but the S8+ setting doesnt not align the visual box in the center, so all of the visuals are off. Because of the size of the phone, it cannot be physically moved or adjusted inside the case even as a temporary fix. Should be a simple fix on the developers end, but there is literally no customer support to contact; the link that is constantly post to contact them is an FAQ page with no contact info. Can't play, can't return to best buy because i didnt play it in time to notice and still be within the return period, not a happy customer.
Disney, this game is pretty good, however now the headset and beacon aren't tracking. Regardless of where the beacon is, the image moves to where I'm looking. I read through the troubleshooting section of the website but I can't find anything about this issue. thanks in advance for some insight.
Its fun.... until you wear the headset for an hour, then your neck really starts to feel the strain. The tracking of the saber is always off, you never quite get it synced just right - and other times the blade jumps away from your actual saber and appears off in the distance. The game itself: when the saber is tracking properly the dueling and blaster deflection can be fun. Space chess and tower defense.... meh. They're fun to experience in a play through, but they won't keep you coming back
game is great however it states Samsung Galaxy s8 is a compatible phone but the app has no way to keep the display on. the s8 has no setting that will keep it on so your game is interrupted every 10 min. you have to remove the phone and swipe the screen everytime. contacted both companies to resolve and each blamed the other. Now because it's an open electronic the store I got it from will not take it back. sad because I'm a huge star wars fan. please fix this glitch.
It was really fun playing with it. The graphics were pretty cool and everything. But i hope that the headset could be improvised into something like a ds screen that requires cartridge. I wouldn't recommend the handphone because it gets hot after playing for just a few minutes. The hp battery drops fast too. For starters, it is difficult to set up. I would really recommend online tutorial for set up I am pretty interested to see more of it coming. A better version of it probably.
It's a very realistic VR game, I can say it's very immersive, one thing though, us that it's very battery-consuming so you better have a phone which can last for more than 5 hours, furthermore, the campaigns are very well scripted, but as you go on, it gets really hectic and I'd advise people to take a break from the game every 45 or so minutes. This game can be improved but it certainly is still worth playing.
Really great game! Can set the graphics to high which makes the experience a lot better, for phones with the capability to do so, without overheating. Can get slightly laggy sometimes in short spikes, bjt that depends on the device you use. Highly recomend for Star-wars fans as it's very fun and a bit of a workout when fighting villians/heroes. Holo-chess is also a lot of fun, as well as the other things Jedi Challenges has to offer. Btw this is not an advertisement but an honest opinion! Thanks
Very Bad Experience for an expensive game. Every gaming session seems to be hindered by a different bug. The hardware is poor (lightsaber keeps showing low battery even after charging). in one month of owning this, it takes at least 30 minutes to get the game operational for my son. The latest bug required us to flip the headset upsjde down just to see the menu. previously we needed to look at the ceiling. This game is far too expensive to experience such poor quality.
