I've had this app for years and love coming back to replay through it. I'm also grateful for the bug being resolved which would cause the game to run in slow motion on devices with high refresh rate screens. All I would change is to add the ability to move the controls to a custom location on the screen, but other than that, this will always be installed on my device.

This is actually a very good port. You can play as Sonic, Sonic & Tails, solo Tails, and even Knuckles! There's also a save feature, something the original Sonic 2 definitely doesn't have. There's a time attack mode, many achievements to unlock, and (I think) even a hidden zone! I haven't found it, but I'm pretty sure it's in the game somewhere. My only complaint is the constant advertisements and the difficulty of the later special stages. The ads can be remedied with $2 though. Good port!

An excellent port of the console version! The four save slots, the option to play as Knuckles and having access to Tails' flying ability are a nice addition. My only complaint is that every time I beat the final boss (and I've played as all three characters) the game automatically quits. Yeah my progress is still saved but it would have been nice to see the final cutscene and the end credits. Still worth 5 stars.

Makai Sanks

This is another fantastic port. Sonic 2 is already a great game as it is. Save features has been added, also Knuckles, the ability to restart those difficult special stages (Thank God), and they even added a hidden palace zone. They didn't even need to do that. That just shows the amount of care that was put into this port. Also the wide-screen is also a nice addition. My only gripe with this game is the menu looking bland. This is again another fantastic port of a already fantastic game.

Its Good....For a Chromebook I don't know but this is a fantastic game! when me and my brother got home from school we'd run to our PS2 and boot up Sonic 2 to race each other. But when we saw this in 2019 we were happy we were like "Yes! Now we can play it on the go!" but once the ads started kicking in we went back to the PS2's version because it had no ads. but either way this is good and I wouldn't want to pay 1.99 for getting rid of the ads. SEGA please get rid of these ads so i can play.

I love this game it's one of my favorite games. my only problem is using the debug mode pretty much every time I use it it just ends up pausing the game and then using it. I understand that you have a choice between ad support and no ads but literally every time I pause or exit the is always an ad. The rest of the game is fine it's just that theres way too many ads

Blue The Dude

This is a good port of the original genesis classic... But I have somd issues. The controls are fine, and the game is fantastic... But the versus mode doesn't work at all! If you make a room and start it, you'll just be stuck on a black screen while the same 11 notes play. Last time versus mode was implemented, it worked perfectly, even though it was WIFI only. It's a good game, but you'll only get 4 stars when you fix this problem.

This was my favorite game as a kid, so discovering that I can play it anytime and anywhere has been a great joy! I only play arcade mode and it's amazing! But the controls become overly hyper sensitive when playing the bonus levels, to the point where it's basically impossible and pointless to play those levels. It takes some fun out of the experience, but overall I love this game!!

I love Sonic 2, but I don't love this iteration for one reason: the control. The touch screen interface is no substitute for a d-pad and buttons. The levels demand precision, something that simulated buttons on a touchscreen can't provide. It's a shame, since I like other aspects of this version of Sonic 2 like the new modes, the addition of Knuckles as a playable character, and the reimplementation of cut content not in the Sega Genesis version. I hope this version comes to consoles and PC.

Ok, so sadly debug mode has gotten off. When I put on debug mode and listen to music, there is a problem. This never happend to me other time I activated debug mode, when I listen to music, (this glitch is bad for people who suffer from epilepsy. Do not activate debug mode in case you do not want this glitch to happen.) The screen started flashing black. I tried closing my tabs but it still flashed black when is was listening to a sound track. It never stopped flashing black until I left.
