Shazam: Find Music & Concerts

Don't install the latest update, it's a bigger banner ad for Apple Music. It's a pretty good app if you have fairly commonplace musical encounters. But it's terrible with instrumentals; I could stand by a composition and Shazam it five times and get five totally different guesses, and I could keep doing it ad infinitum. I tried using the app to see if a busker was faking the violin and the results were inconclusive because I already know the app doesn't work well with instrumentals!

Something is wrong with Shazam lately. By lately I mean over a year. At first I though it could be my phone or something but Ive since switched devices. It just doesnt recognize songs anymore, both popular and obscure. Not only, but it suggests totally different song and genres. I hope its fixable but its a shame to loose such a basic but fun feature.

This app have got to be one of the best tools ever invented. To be able to get the title of a song from the melody and/or it's vocals is so helpful. It is very user friendly and stores all of your 'shazamed' items. It also gives you options to enjoy your 'shazamed' items via other linked apps. The app is also updated on a regular bases.

This app is essential if you're the type of person who's got your ears open for music everywhere you go. You might find yourself walking past a shop with it's doors open and catch the last 10 seconds of a song on a person's rich and storied playlist. This app retrieves the song title in a matter of seconds 90% of the time. Gone are the days of waiting until the end credits of a movie to see who's singing that weird nuanced cover of a classic.

Overall I like Shazam over the other choices, but there are a few issues that need to be addressed. First off, why is Apple music the only choice for music purchases? Seems really stupid on an ANDROID phone! And secondly every time I listen to the music sample for saved library songs the playback breaks up and sounds awful. No matter how good the network connection is. Please fix this!

Works well most of the time, but often enough I get "No Results". I wish it was possible to type in the answer to teach your database, because I usually find it elsewhere (like rewinding the podcast or asking someone). There's also no way to send feedback through the app, so I'm writing it here for all. (Maybe I could if I sign up, but I don't want to.)
