Reviews for Raft® Survival - Ocean Nomad
Good graphics, good interface, and loads of fun to play. I have two suggestions for the developers, though. The ladder is difficult to climb unless you don't want to climb it. Maybe make it where you have to press on the ladder to climb and once you are in climb mode, you have to reach the top or press again to get off. Also, the improved hook says it flies further and collects more resources. Maybe it should actually fly further and collect more resources.
It is very fun except for some issues. The first issue is that almost every time you get a chest or unknown reward, you get the worst possible rewards. It gets annoying. Also, whenever you leave the app and close the window, the sharks health regenerates to full health. So when you are almost done with the shark, and accidentally close the tab, it restarts you(yes, I have done that). Other than those and a couple minor bugs, it is really fun.
This game is highly entertaining, though a bit rough around the edges. The creative mode blocks access to most materials without buying coins, which really ruins the idea of a creative mode in the first place. The skill tree is the same: instead of earning new levels, you need to buy them. Progress pace is good, storyline is interesting, survival mechanics are well done. Really my biggest problem is the need for coins.
Great time waster. Good graphics, lots of crafting. I don't even mind the adds because you can almost use them as a currency. What I don't like is that even though I've collected all I need, I can't open the bunker and there are no yellow flowers to collect so that I can continue crafting. It's frustrating and makes me want to delete the game since I cannot progress.
3 stars because the inability to jump and skip the tutorial every time you restarted the game. You should be able to skip the tutorial and have the ability to jump. I got stuck in a place because one of the enemies on the first quest pushed me into a crate that I wasn't supposed to be in, it didn't let me jump out of it. So I eventually had to restart my game, haveing to redue the tutorial was really annoying. The game can be great if you fix a few things that should be in the game.
All in all this is an alpha. The controls don't work well, the shark never breaks your boat, finding materials that you need other than basic is a nightmare. Speaking of nightmares, this is advisement Hell. You can't destroy or deconstruct anything you've built. Everything looks identical, there is literally NO reason to progress on your map to new locations. The raft can only expand about 10 blocks in any direction before it's maxed out. Storage after a short while becomes impossible, you can't build multiple chests. Just the one. I accidentally built two of the same machine because the picture and the built machine are different. I have plenty more to say, but I think you get the point. All in all this game should be taken down and the developers should be sad.
