I've tried some of the other apps and paypal is simply better. More simple, can actually withdraw my balance without needing to get a new card, and they protect my purchases. Can say I've had them save me from at least 2 different scams since I started using them a couple years ago. Don't normally do reviews but had alot of trouble with cashapp so I'm willing to give them credit where it's due.

Update: App works now. Did not follow up with PayPal customer service. But, there should be a message or something from the app stating that there are technical difficulties (i.e. server maintenance, we are experiencing technical difficulties, or something) instead of the app just force closing itself. Old: App keeps force closing after as soon as I login, was working before. Deleted cache, Uninstalled and reinstalled, issue keeps happening. When the app does work, it is easy to use and useful.

PayPal has been a pretty good money app and has improved a lot since I started using it. It's policy of money back is pretty good but there are some down fall too it as well you have to prove beyond a shadow that fraud happened. It also is hard to reach a live agent most everything is done through messages only and can be frustrating. Also if you get locked out for any reason you have to use a desk top computer to unlock your account. But it is the best money app out there.

Savings api 1.1% is significantly lower than competitors. The savings screen has issues displaying visual assets however the underlying links for those assets still work when clicking. (clicking random white or gray blocks with no text is tedious ) all other aspects of the app work fine. It's specifically the savings screen. Yes I've tried all standard consumer fixes.

Setting up new account in process wouldn't go through. So I had to use the debit card which of course charges the fee. I followed all instructions for the Bank app and the PayPal app. Bank promotes zello or something like that so I'm sure they complicate the process on purpose. I have had no problem using PayPal for friends or receiving money from friends before. Overall pleased with the app.

It's always been a really good app to have for emergencies and quick transfers. The only problem that I've ever really had with PayPal is when I first made my account i had them send me a card but I never activited it and ended up losing it. I've tried 5 times to have another card sent to me and everytime it says it'll take so many business days but never shows up. It's very fustrating.

I like everything but they should make it easier to report scams by selecting the transaction instead of going through all these different selections. There's a lot of people being scammed this way by strangers sending money and requesting money. It would be better to cancel, block and report these suspicious activities through the app but it doesn't let you.

Got approved for credit but can't use it even a week later. It shows up in my wallet in the PayPal app but not on any other site when I go to pay. I've spent hours on the phone with support and got nowhere. They said the system blocked my transactions for unknown reasons. They said maybe try again in a few more days. No. I will use a different card and PayPal will miss out on my business.

I opened an account with PayPal, to make it easier for my clients to pay me! I started receiving requests to pay very large amounts of payments that I did not authorize, calling technical support was a complete joke, either you don't get an answer OR you get told you need to talk to someone in a higher department! Nothing was done with the fraud on my account, so I had no choice but to close it.. BEWARE people, they are scammers everywhere and PayPal is no different!

They are absolutely the most corrupt payment system ever! If you pay for a transaction through them and the product doesn't get delivered, they will side with the vendor because they don't want to loose them. They will never protect you as an individual, but rather protect the big companies where the bulk of the transaction comes from. I'm canceling my subscription and deleting the app right away. There are better option out there that will protect the little guy.
