Reviews for GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming
Wow I'm absolutely impressed, the fact that I was able to try this service for free is crazy. It's almost no delay while playing. I linked my steam account and was able to play most of my games in my library. The witcher 3 on 1080p 60fps was the best experience, it looks stunning in my nord n10 and I couldn't even notice a delay, It felt as if I was playing on my pc very smooth and responsive. This app has a bright future and I will keep checking it out.
I don't normally leave reviews but this is pretty awesome. I don't have a laptop and can't take my desktop to work or on the road obviously. There are a few things that need to be worked out and more games need to be made compatible but otherwise, this is really really cool. Connect a controller and have fun pretty much anywhere with wifi or a cellular network.
A great app to play your PC games on the cloud and pretty much on the go with good service. I highly recommend getting a controller such as a DualSense or Xbox One for the best experience. If you don't have a controller, you can use the built-in controller menu, but it's going to be difficult to get used to if you have a phone. It's best to use GeForce NOW on a tablet if you have one. This app is updated every Thursday for new games, so that's a bonus point.
Love it! Perfect for the entire spectrum of gamer! If you want highend features for relatively cheap, especially in today's videocard market, this is the place. If you want gaming for cheap, probably cheaper than replacing the cheapest "acceptable" gaming card every two years, this is how to do it. I absolutely love the streaming service both directly from Nvidia as well as the from own PC, latency might as well be non-existant, and stream video quality is through the roof!
Compared to Stadia, this is ahead of the game (mobile network support and wireless controller support). It had 2 years to work out bugs, and the future of this looks bright. Worth the free tier to try it out and see if it's for you. Works on 5G wifi or a strong cellular signal with fast speeds, so it will tear through data caps quickly.
You gotta have a good internet connection and a specific kind of situation to enjoy this. For me if I'm keeping my lady up playing games, I can just go plug my laptop into Ethernet in the next room and play without bothering her. It still works pretty well on wireless networks as well as long as you pick lower reaction games (xcom, fallout 3, etc) the slight lag I periodically felt from playing wirelessly is expected and acceptable in a lot of games. It gives me hope for the future of streaming.
Works wonderfully, but it desperately needs controller support. It's a great competitor to Google Stadia, but it needs to let the audience play! The on-screen controller doesn't work for the games I tried (TF2, Gmod, Half Life, Portal). I tried using my PS4 controller, but it seems to think it's an Xbox controller. The formatting error means that moving around is tough, and borderline unplayable. Devs, please give us controller support and make the on-screen controller work for most games.
This app does a good job at streaming lots of games, however I have one complain and that is that when I try playing Fortnite I am unable to play Save the World mode due to not being able to change performance mode to either DirectX 11 or 12. I used to be able to play Save the world but now the setting is stuck to default with Performance mode on these computers. I've tried changing the setting and relaunching the game but it always goes back to performance mode. Can you look into this?
