Reviews for NeuroNation - Brain Training
Awesome! I know it's working on improving my brain because I got a concussion and I can definitely feel the challenge and improvement with the exercises in the app. The exercises and app are well designed, good user experience, cute and fun design, and positively rewarding sounds. It gives good examples and explanations and directions are easy to follow. Thank you, thank you, thank you, guys for a good experience and actually providing a great variety of exercises in the free version!
I think this is a very great app! It has helped me improve not just my mind but it has improved my life as well, because I am thinking more clearly, sharper, I'm able to remember things better than I did before. This has also helped me with focus, I have A.D.D. and I couldn't make it through a presentation without thinking of something completely different or just get distracted not even half way through and miss the rest of the presentation
For a class on Working Memory, I was doing some research on brain games and I believe this is the best one, of the 10 that I played with! I like the results page. As a teacher, that would be awesome to show parents in helping students with WM deficits. I like the reminders and even the little guilt trip when it tells me I promised. 😆 I will continue with this app and see how I improve.
Great brain trainer. It is improving my memory and ability to analyze things. I highly recommend this Brain Training App. Update-- I think there is something wrong with the Color Craze exercise. I follow the instructions and it is counting right answers as wrong. It is a bit frustrating. Could you look into this. Otherwise this is a solid Brain Booster App, so I am keeping this as a five star review.
Seems pretty good. Wish ads were an option instead of subscription. But, I find it almost hilarious that you guys think everyone interested will do it on a schedule. I put in the reminders because it forces you to in order to continue then disabled the notifications. The whole point of apps is that they're used at my convenience. It's why streaming services are quickly becoming more popular than cable/broadcast. Not saying no one will do it, but have an option for whenever.
It's got potential but I came across several programming flaws and decided it was just more irritating than the time I might spend using the app. A case in point is where you are to choose the "Pink" box which is 4 but the number doesn't matter and everytime it will come back incorrect. It wants you apparently to touch the Red 2 instead. Others in this exercise work with a glitch here or there but that one is always wrong. There are others but that one was easy to use as an example.
Such potential. ..yet fails miserably! The translations don't always work and are often awkward. Ever try telling a German that they have an accent in English...ha ha ha! The lead in tutorials are simple and then the exercises change; but what they want you to do is often very ambiguous. Used to be better years ago. Also do you want to be ranked by your age? Hey, why not then by your gender? Too bad, great potential, misses by a mile.
Two big flaws: 1. The evaluation test is a poor judge of ability. Many of the exercises took a few tries before I could understand what it was asking. Once I understood the "ask" , I scored 100% accuracy. The instructions weren't clear. Having a practice screen before doing the real test would be a better indicator. 2. The app refuses to mute. I turned my phone on silent and had audio on silent. To my horror, it started loudly narrating a scenario. PLEASE FIX THIS. It woke my fiance up. Not ok.
