Game was definitely not meant to be a cash grab. Love that. Every single level (including all Iron and Heroic) is beatable without an enemy or extra. Took a long time to do so but just great timing and tower mix. Overall it's a very fun game, great music. Not liking how to the screen jumps to another part of the screen sometimes when I click to put either rain of fire or soldiers somewhere. And it zooms in at the bottom of the screen when building. Completely unnecessary. Still 5 stars though.

I've been playing TDs since the WinterMaul Wars (and before) days from the WC3 Map Editor; which, if you don't know, means basically the early 2000's. I've played a lot of the modern online TD's, including the Bloons, Toy Soldiers, and a host of others. This is by far the best. The levels (for the most part) are well balanced for each difficulty setting. They can be challenging, and possible solutions limited, but they are beatable without paying for gems to get special bonuses.

I don't usually rate games, but I have to say this is one of the best tower defense/strategy games out there. Ironhide never disappoints and always brings quality entertainment. Many have tried to copy their style - none have succeeded. The monetization isn't in your face and you can fully enjoy the game(s) without spending a single extra dime. I would recommend purchasing their entire catalog of games. The art is quirky and sharp, the color is rich and vibrant, and the animation is topnotch. :D

A very fun game that has quite a bit of interactive battle elements in addition to the typical add/upgrade elements. It helps a lot to pay attention to what enemies arrive in a level and plan accordingly (such as needing armor weakening for heavily armored enemies). It also helps to not rush through all the lower levels, as things can get pretty difficult when you've progressed through to some of the boss-inclusive levels. I got a little frustrated at one point, but worked my way through it.

Good game that is highly engaging and well designed, with enjoyable gameplay, slick graphics, and complete sound design. However, the problem is that there is just not enough of it. All of the campaigns can be beaten and all of the research tree unlocked in maybe 10 hours of gameplay. That for a game that is trying to sell additional unlockable features and characters is simply not enough content.

Loved the gameplay. The main game doesn't need crystals to beat, which is really great. When you start playing the side quest, then crystals come into play. However, you get crystals whether you win or lose a stage, or you can watch a 30 second ad. Or of course, pay for it. A few things I didn't like about the game was the constant tapping on my stations that were disabled by the enemy. Also it was, at times, difficult to deploy units to the bottom of the screen to stop enemies.

I remember this game from when I played it years ago, back in an age when Flash was supported. Upon finding out it had been moved to an app, I knew I had to download it and go through the nostalgia. The overall main game is enough to keep it interesting to the end, with maps having minor variances in mechanics along the way. The facts that the store is not required for the main game and that ads are 100% optional, they make this game, without a doubt, something to enjoy.

Wish it were longer. Once you've beaten the campaign (not many levels), any level afterward is almost impossible, either the repeated levels in harder difficulty or the elite levels that require more stars. The repeated levels severely handicap you and can't really be done without extra gold and the elite levels pretty much require you to do the repeated levels to earn stars. In other words, after the campaign, the game isn't fun anymore.
