Reviews for Into the Dead 2
Hands-down, one of the best zombie shooters I've ever played. I was a huge fan of the first game - its unique gameplay with a minimalist approach was well worth the download. This sequel stays true to that format while expanding its horizons and offering some really cool, involving storylines and gameplay perks. Being strategic and action-based it contains the best of both worlds for zombie lovers! Highly recommended!
Meh. Loved it (paid the sub for 6+ months) until the creeping development features killed the enjoyment and stability. It became a farming game instead of a loot and shoot, and now imposes weird build mechanics instead of simply adding greater difficulty levels. Most importantly they've added even more ads to the game so now they're completely unavoidable even when you're paying the subscription and the stability has dropped significantly. I haven't been able to play the game more than 20 minutes without it crashing on me in over a month. And it doesn't just crash and allow you to restart or even kill the app and restart it...no, you have to restart the phone. Not worth it anymore.
It's a really cool concept. At that my compliments end. The game is buggy. I have started matches with boosts that dont show up but still get burned. The one knife for a save sometimes doesnt work and if I die, restarting is just burning another energy for nothing. On restart, you can only move straight and cannot fire weapon. Effectively making you a runaway meal. Will update my review when I see improvements.
I'd give it more but I cant finish the game. On level 28 it puts you in a car again. Well you cant aim down at the zombies or steer the car, and the path it drives runs it straight into a wall missing the opening of a garage door. I've restarted the mission multiple times and each time I get stuck at the same place. I'd love to continue the storyline, so could you please fix this bug. Not trying to be rude, its just annoying lol.
Microtransactions and ads are obnoxious, but I don't have enough respect for developers to spend money to remove things that lessen the game's quality. Great game otherwise. Entertaining plot which is new and very different from the arcade fun of the first game. Still maintains the feel and improves on the first. I'd love to buy it on the switch, but it doesn't seem worth it considering I can play it for free on my phone.
