Reviews for Idle Civilization: World Story
While perhaps not the most polished idle game around, it oozes with personality and depth. The beautiful water color art is just the tip of the iceberg. This is less your traditional incremental clicker and more of an abstract strategy game unlike any other that I've come across. The inclusion of multiple scenarios really proves to me that this is a strategy game through the lens of an incremental game rather than the other way around. Devs, you are appreciated, The best, T
Ads done right! Donate a cup of coffee. Developer has unobtrusive ads and are also short/skippable, doesn't lock functions behind a paywall, and specifically does so to keep the game fun and engaging. It's great to see developers who are more interested in providing the best experience over profits. The water color art is quite beautiful. Highly recommend donating a $1.
I have enjoyed playing this game even this early on. You all have a good thing going keep it up. One recommendation would be in the war mode have an option for setting up defensive positions to maybe reduce the damage your troops would take when the enemy attacks. Just my opinion but it won't stop me from enjoying the game.
Fun and addicting. There are some bugs after the initial tutorial, that streches out the graphics for the buttons, but over time they normalize. Game is fun with new unlocks coming at a steady pace, as well as some random events happening every so often. Give this game a try.
While it is short, this is a really great idle-type game with a lot of branching pathways you can take, and the alternate military game mode is an extremely neat concept. I look forward to future updates (such as medieval siege game mode), and its always a pleasure to support Russian devs. Keep up the good work.
I love it. The only ads you watch are not forced onto you. I love the vibe of it and it tells a story as you go on. You use little heart things to buy extra stuff. You get the heart things from watching short ads and doing certain things in the game. You can also get 100 of them by buying a $1 mug. That's amazing. I love it. I rated 4 stars because the interface is a bit iffy. It could use a bit of a rework. I don't really like the bland white background but other than all that it's great. Good
The game is fun but some of the important dialogue is still only in Russian, which doesnt help you if you dont speak Russian. I have restarted the game accidentally a few times due to this issue. But, it was clear that the game is still being developed so I didnt take off a lot for that issue. It could also be a little more clear on the decision points which each will do for you in the game. Overall, it is still fun!!!
It's a really great game, I enjoy it a lot, but when I get to war, I can't read the options yet (I understand more translations are coming) and keep getting set back a few hundred years. I'd love to see it develop, and will definitely adjust my opinion and review as new updates are released. Great job, to the developers, keep up the solid work!
An important part of a game is the message it tries to say. In a game with human history as its setting, the message will without a doubt effect the game itself. This game was made by a person with a very particular view of the way the world works, and the game is organized around that. I should note as well that the game grows very obvious near the end (the 'noncommercial research' tech should tip you off). The game itself is decently designed, however. A fine experience, but know its message
Gameplay, art and sound are minimal. This is purely a number watcher. See as the number at the top increases with barely any input from the player. Idle Civilization is an apt title because you are idle as the game makes the numbers go up on their own. There is one short background track thay loops. Choices are minmal. Ads are plentiful with popups for videos almost every 30 seconds. Art is minimalistic, a white background with a few impressionist style images (blurry). Dont download this.
