Reviews for Hades' Star
I played the Beta, Dark Nebula... Please add back being able to see the capacity of transport ships, it's very annoying that you cant see how full they are unless they are docked, and it causes dumb mistakes. Also I like the Beta images for buildings like the shipyard, etc, more. In this version, things are just blue outline icons instead of a structure in the world. I think it's cheesy and ugly. I'd like to see the structure in the world instead of some "modern" lines. Who no change targets??
Most excellent passive and detailed space game since VEGA. Things I think would make me enjoy it more. More customized ship design. Maybe a little more detail and customization for individual planet and moon economy with a bit more variation in celestial objects within your galaxy. But I would note, intricate simplicity is what this game really has going for it. That and lack of ads. Stellar job 🚀 Can't wait to see thus game grow!
This game, while it starts out simplistic, quickly turns into a decision based strategy game. You won't see much of it at first, but once you get passed certain points, strategy and good decision-making are keys to winning. Later on, teamwork and module combinations become a big factor. The ad-free and minimalistic, non pay-to-win micro transactions make the game a breath of fresh air amongst many toxic, P2W games. I forsee myself playing this game for a long while to come.
This game is a pretty awesome space exploration and colonization game. You don't have to compete with overpowered players which I think is great for a mobile game like this. So far, the game itself is pretty smooth and fun to play. My suggestions for making it a bit better would be to streamline the ship navigation control. It feels clunky to move transport ships over and over, but at least you can start to automate it come late game. Other than that, the game play is a lot of fun and the tech tree keeps things interesting. I don't normally do extensive reviews on games, but I do when the game is worth playing. This one definitely is worth your time.
When it comes to strategy games on my tablet, few hold my interest beyond a few hours of gameplay. As someone who comes from a background of playing deep strategy games on the PC, I find most mobile strategy games to be tremendously boring due to their reliance on repetitive and overly simplistic gameplay. Now, I am not going to deny that "Hades Star" also has repetitive mechanics as well as simplistic gameplay elements, but I think here Parallel Space hit the sweet spot by crafting a game that transcends its limitations by employing an elegant design that pulls you in and keeps you playing. I particularly enjoy micromanaging my fleet of cargo carriers as they go about their rounds making deliveries to my colonies for credits that I can later invest into upgrading my planets, ships, etc. I also enjoy the clever raiding mechanic where the player can locate a red star on the verge of imploding, and raid the system for technology before its goes kablooey. All in all, Hades Star has just enough going one, at just the right pacing, to make an intriguing game that keeps my interest. I guess that is why it remains on my tablet when so many other games have come and gone.
The game itself is very fun and the gameplay is very easy to learn. The depth of the graphics are pretty sweet as well. The downside is unless you're willing to spend large amounts of money or take a ridiculously long amount of time you never really going to go anywhere in this game. The increasing prices and costs of upgrades are so beyond Ludacris and Out Of Reach it's almost not worth playing sometimes..
Overall a good game. It is a very slow burn game, so if your wanting instant satisfaction, you might have issues with this game. But for someone that is more interested in a long term game, this is a great RTS mobile game. My biggest con to this game is that when I click on navigate (or waypoint) then select my target, the game unselects my action and highlights my target. I then have to reselect the ship and redo the action again. In situations where timing is key, this can cause failure to my plans. But to be honest, I could just have big thumbs...
Awesome game, really enjoy it, good long-term strat game that doesn't require a whole lot of know-how/ it shows you how... friendly community, join a corp! Please get better support for android though, I have a nextbook tablet and it runs beautifully, and then terribly, and then inevitably crashes, constantly. I love the game so I just reboot and keep playing but it is very annoying, especially when you are in a red-star system(timed event) and you lose your fleet because it crashes... Please update android tablet support!
Was looking for a chill space stradegy game and kept passing this up looking at the flashier ones. What a mistake! This game is exactly what i was looking for. The minimalistic graphics work great, the soundtrack is perfect and best of all you can play it in portrait mode. It plays to the phones strength which i wish other games would do.
Great game so far. A would definitely say it could use some minor improvements. Mainly the timings. 1) Faster Missions. Shouldn't have to wait 24+ hrs for a new mission. Maybe 6-12? Longer times make people lose interest in game. 2) research facility. Being able to upgrade it and up the time it takes to research something and maybe add a slot or 2 more artifacts? 3) Discovery of New Sectors. It's not bad to say, but it's a huge jump from 1hr discovery to 8hrs between 1->2 sectors...
