Reviews for Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD
This app is amazing! I've been looking for a game like this for a long time, and then I found it! This game literally has everything you would expect in a space game and more, along with that, it runs outstandingly well on low-end like my tablet. Though the controls are a little hard (like the joystick is to small), it still works. I recomend GOF 2 to anybody!
Good: Visuals, lots of side missions and planet systems to help make money. Upgrades are nearly limitless, lots of different ships to choose from, and the faction system keeps you on your toes. Bad: Maneuverability. Even after spending in game coin for the top steering nozle available, it's still entirely too unresponsive. Targeting system is also very bad. Can't select targets, sometimes you end up firing on friendly targets, sometimes you randomly target a planet instead of an enemy.
I love this game. it crashed on me a while back and had to reinstall. Lost all my game data, but I've played it so long that I forgot how the beginning was. So I dont mind doing it over, especially since I get the controls better. I wish the company still made games. but they arent developing anymore. So no more updates or support. So you play until it crashes. I made it a few years. You should be good.
I've been dying to find a great mobile space simulator! This game is amazing! Free-to-play, expansive ships, weapons, equipment, etc., great controls (try the tilt controls!), graphics and HUD... I can't get over this game! Micro-transactions are simply for extra in-game currency (NOT a pay-to-win game), I haven't seen a single advertisement, and I haven't even purchased any of the addon content, yet! The addons are very modestly priced (a buck or two a piece), and I am SO going to purchase them all to support this game and it's developers! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Always my go-to game when I think of what to play, I've beaten the game multiple times but it still entertains me. Only problem I have is I have to tap a bit to the right in order for it to register my control, so when I want to leave a station it always assume I want to buy credits, idk if this is intentional but if it is, that's fked up. And it's only the right side of the controls, the left side works fine. I really hope it's not intentional.
The game is an open world space combat simulator, in the spirit of Wing Commander: Privateer. I have been playing this game for several years, and have completed it several times, but I always come back to it. This is my all-time favorite phone game. Word of warning: I purchased all of the expansion packs on my iPhone, but there seems to be no way to transfer that purchase to my Android phone, and devs have been unresponsive to my inquiries as to the possibilty of restoring them.
This game seems heavily inspired by Elite Dangerous with a little Mass Effect. It plays like both of those games, except severely dumbed down which is to be expected in a mobile game. Not the best game I've ever played, but the controls are great, it looks decent, and it has a cool story despite the terrible voice acting (again, mobile game, to be expected).
It's a good game. However would be nice if there was a throttle so I can slow down or speed up when I wanted to. Overall I like the storyline. I think it's pretty decent cuz I always like space adventure games. Would be even better if you're buying Rockets or missiles that every time your docked at a hanger it would refill that way you can use a certain amount all the time.
Other than having the Supernova DLC crash (fixed) when the "Mosted Wanted" list is unlocked and not being able to progress IF you don't have the exact equipment needed to harvest plasma for Gunant regardless of having advanced equipment, the game is great. I don't recommend it though if you have a problem with waiting for Fishlabs to fix problems.
Great until the update, then the controls went wonky. Before this last update (I know it was awhile ago) this was my favorite game. Last update came out and now I can hardly steer my ship. Once I start tracking a hostile, it takes a couple of seconds to turn. Let go of that turn, and I have to wait at least five seconds to start turning again. I absolutely love this game, but can't play it anymore because of the controls.
