Encrypt.me - Super Simple VPN

We got Encrypt.me to add security and privacy to our connection. We got it through eero router& extender which is an Amazon product. The part I don't get is that We can't watch Amazon prime videos with the VPN on. It's asking us to turn it off in order to be able to watch it!!! I don't know about other apps like Netflix,etc but if it was an unpleasant surprise that it's not working with prime videos.

(Ha! Bought by StrongVPN two years ago and guess what, no software update in the past two years. Sounds typical that the customer gets shafted in the process.) Copy and paste of everyone else's issues. Gets stuck on connecting and never connects. Only once in years of eero subscription use has this ever worked. Feel robbed of services I paid for as part of their increased security bundle. They should feel robbed of agreeing to use such a terrible VPN service. I hope their contract ends soon.

Not able to connect most of the time. Contacted support and they just tell me to reinstall. How many times do i need to do that just to use the app. If not included with eero service, would have deleted by now.

It's a good app. Very convenient, choice of location also satisfying since it includes DUBAI, which is I never saw that location in any VPN apps thus far. It also provides 2 weeks trial without any prepayment. Isn't that awesome? It also has blog and website that actually helps their user in many ways. Thumbs up, BUT, believe me. it is still hackable. Because it didnt require accessibility etc, its easy for hackers to shut it down via settings, like i had.

Works well however they track all your logs, ip addresses etc and are in a country that will openly share your data with other countries in the "5" countries. However it works well is not that slow but reduces my 1gb speed down to around 10mb which is decent for a vpn of this price. They have upto 25 servers to choose from which is really good. Overall I'd suggest going elsewhere for your VPN needs. The logging bandwidths, timestamps and IPs are bad.

Can you fix it with the new privacy settings on Android. It auto connects to trusted networks which wasn't the case before. When the location settings is changed to always then this problem stops. I just want the app to get location when am using it, thats it. Thank you

Sometimes ends up flaking out when the device switches from WiFi to cellular. I understand that ease of use is their priority, but I wouldn't mind having advanced settings to allow me to set my own DNS servers and allow users to select udp instead of tcp for whichever protocol they implement in the client.

I have for the last 24+ hours been trying to connect to a server, any server, with no luck. I went back and executed all of the trouble shooting steps as well as called my ISP to confirm they are not blocking any services. Even having done all of those steps and confirming there isn't any policies preventing me from accessing the servers, I am still unable to connect. I am completely disappointed by the situation especially since I am paying for this service.

I have had a excellent experience with this app. I did the free trial and it really did a awesome job. Thank you for allowing a free trial. However I seem to be strapped for cash and my phone will go back to regular until I can get enough extra to spend on a plan. But excellent job developer!

Pretty nice app, but it's important to know that you're still fully encrypted and protected without a VPN. If you're considering purchasing a subscription to a VPN that tells you that your usual online activity is easily accessible without one, you're being scammed. There's something called HTTPS which has made this impossible for many years now. A VPN will only protect you from a HTTP site that handles your sensitive information, which is very rarely the case as HTTP is long outdated.
