I've been playing this game for just under a year now. At first it was engaging with town design and layout and battle tactics. There are tons of upgrades to unlock, but the resources to do those upgrades become very scarce very fast. The pay element wasn't too bad either. If you wanted to keep your pace moving smoothly, a few bucks here and there was acceptable. But with every update the purchases give you less reward at a higher cost. The upgrades start to take an unreasonable amount of time.

Super fun and addicting game. I love the battle mechanics, the multiple tech trees, and the overall idea of advancing your civilization slowly but surely over time. The freemium aspect is not as bad as many other games but still kind of annoying. And there are plenty of bugs, I'd rather they prioritize fixing some of them over releasing new content. Overall though I'm happy with this game and play it every day.

Have played this game on and off for the past 4 years and it can be fun. I have grown tired of the game kicking me out when in the middle of battle. This is an instant medals loss and you lose everything that you deployed in the battle. This is happening more and more so I am done with the game. They do state to exit the game then get back on the game before each battle to help prevent this but that isn't very efficient game play. Keep music & sound effects off to help with getting kicked out.

It's not a bad game at all, it's really enjoyable. However, THERE HAS TO BE A QUEUE FUNCTION. Just a system where if you can't upgrade something just yet, put it in a queue so it'll upgrade whenever it can. This would save so much time opposed to periodically checking the game to see if you can upgrade whatever you may need to upgrade. It would also be much more realistic, because one project is carried out after the other. Plus, there's so much in the game to worry about, a queue would solve it

I have been playing this game for almost 5 years. I used to love it but it is becoming unplayable with all the bugs. Last 2 updates has come with so many issues that the game is literally close to unplayable. We are going through a war now and the 9.1 update doesn't even allow us to retrain anything properly. It is costing us all resources and the war. Feels like the game is on a downhill spyral for some time now. Sadly, I might need to find a new game to enjoy.

Decent game, but it very much becomes pay to play at higher levels. Well unless you want to wait weeks for upgrades. Also, app has tendency to crash as of their latest update. Annoyingly if it "fails to connect to server" while you mount an attack it allows you to continue the attack for a while, so do not deploy more units if the processing circle pops up during your attack. You will lose all those units, but amazingly seldom do you receive the resources from the opponent you were attacking. 🤔

So, I love the game. For the most part things are well. However, the reason I rated this 3 stars are because of the following: in the event I am attacking an age lower than me, there is an error code. This is disheartening, because I was going for medals and an easy win. When this error code pops up, it directs me back to my base. In which case, to my dismay, shows that I have lost the troops that were deployed (without giving me an option to "retrain" them) and, I lost the battle, losing medals

Knockoff of 100 other games with special optimization to make it as dry and slow as it can be while encouraging you to spend money to overcome boredom. The app times out almost instantly and has a significantly higher than average load time which allows them to show you constant ads. You have likely played the exact same game with different graphics in the past. It would be worth a single 1.99 purchase if they sold it as a complete game rather than a constant "free" attempt to make you spend money to make the game interesting.
