Reviews for Designer City: building game
Great game, highly recommend this or its successor, Designer City 2, for anyone who enjoys games like this. I do have a suggestion for the developers: add highways. I'm currently using roads lined with trees to act as highways, but I would like to see actual highways added into the game. They could be 2 squares wide and used to eliminate traffic and link various parts of a city. Just a thought. Otherwise great game, looking forward to the next update!
The game is really good and all, but there's a somewhat major inconvenience that wastes a considerable amount of time. When building, it would be nice if we were able to build multiple buildings simultaneously without having to place themdown individually and this goes for the other buildings, and objects. Example, lets say I want to build 300 trees to fill a certain area, without the tool to place them all simultaneously I would have have to place them individually-
I have just downloaded this game today, and am thoroughly entertained. This is a pleasant city-building game without a whole mess of controls to learn and variables to worry about, the sounds are immersive without being over-the-top obnoxious, and the city components themselves are cute and colorful with a wide variety of designs. Are there other maps or boards for this, or do you only get to play the one you start with?
If you love city building games, this is THE best one out there! I have played for several years now, and still Love it! They update it regularly with new buildings, and there is tons of land to build upon. This is a long term game with an active community of players to inspire creativity. Monthly screenshot competitions to participate in, challenges, and dynmaics to keep you striving for a better city. But play your way, and design your city any way YOU want. Possibilities are nearly endless.
Since they changed it to auto collect, that is awesome. My only complaint is that if they game isnt open then it just stops collecting any more money until you log in again. Wish we could have like a bank feature of something that would. Collect it for us and then just take a small cut of the taxes as payment. But it is just an idea. This is a lot like the old sim games on the computer!
I suddenly became obsessed with finding a city building game that I liked, and I LOVE Designer City.. The graphics are great, and sophisticated, whereas other game's graphics are usually very cartoonish and unrealistic. Also, houses=people, which =Bill's, and bills=jobs, and etc, etc... So there's a real ecological and practical feeling to the game as well, so it involves strategy and problem solving. I really love it, and am excited to see updates
Very good game. I only have a few suggestions 1: when we look in the challenges, we should be able to touch one of the required items and it take us to the buy screen. 2: i would remove the gold cost to collect all income. 3: have a 360° view rather than viewing everything from only 2 sides. overall excellent game that i would suggest. you can get everything in the game for free.
Fun, addictive game. It is easy enough to earn the game cash to continue to build and upgrade, but I'm miserly with my gold. There are more than a couple ways to earn gold, but it's not easy to earn enough and if you look ahead it seems you get to a point that everything is purchased with gold, a LOT of gold. I will quit playing if I can't earn enough, it's just too expensive to buy it with real money. Would be great to move more than 1 building at a time. More gold per achievement would help too
Giving this app 4 stars though it really deserves 5. First off, if you love building cities, you'll love this app. Yeah, it can be hard keeping everything straight and up-to-date, but that's an easy fix. This is very reminiscent of Sim City, when it was on the SuperNintendo, but has a nicer look and better variety of buildings. That being said, I do have one issue. From time to time, the game doesn't recognize my taps. It's not my tablet or my wifi, it's the game. I still love it, though.
It is a good game but it will lock me out to my homescreen automatically after like 20 sec. But overall there was major improvement from the recent version. There are a lot more options to choose from like road upgrades. But if i may suggest keep it sort of small because i dont know how it would impact the speed and memory of the game. But if you do decide to expand the options include a search bar & as long as you remember you can search with out scrolling a lot. But I could be wrong.
