Reviews for Dan the Man: Action Platformer
It's the first game I ever got, and I love it, it's great!! It's challenging to get past the end. But, I rated four stars beacuse I feel they should continue the story line. Make a second game where I can still keep my levels and get even higher! And the art for the app logo is getting worse. But other than that, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? DOWNLOAD IT!!!
Alright, It's a pretty solid game overall. I played till around world 3 when it got overbearing with the amount of ads. I could deal with them being in levels or whatever, but them being random at some points was just unbearable. And at one point it just gets flat out unplayable, having to wait literal hours (or watching like 12 ads) to just get to the next level. Would be a greater game in my opinion without the ads. I know there's Premium, but man, c'mon. Just make it playable. I beg. 6/10.
I have to agree with another review. The fact that you put videos at in-level checkpoints is probably the biggest piece of trash dev thing you could ever do. After the level? Sure. For items during the level? Sure. But just to use a save checkpoint that there is no option to pass? Nah, you need to rethink things. I only gave it two stars because the prologue was decent. Otherwise, it would be a one. Zero, if possible.
I love the game, but the two reasons why I am only giving it 2 stars is the 4 hour long timers and the abundance of ads. Reached a checkpoint? Ad. Going in or out of a level? Ad. Want a reward? AD. Want to pass half an hour on those annoying timers? You guessed it: AD. Cut us some slack! I don't want to pay $3 for no ads WHEN I COULD TURN OFF WI-FI. I get that ads make you money. But the more ads you put in your game, the more players you lose. And the timer is outrageous in itself.
Awful game. Not only do you get an add upon touching a checkpoint (which there are a lot of and they are hardly avoidable), but if you beat 5 levels in a row too fast, the game soft locks you for 5 hours. The game also disallows you to play it while offline, so you can't play it on a plane. The bossfights are nearly impossible to beat 1st try, and weapon upgrades do practically nothing, for the amount of grinding you have to do to get them. This game is a complete "pay to play" in disguise.
