Description

OpenSky - Drone Flyer App is a must-have tool for drone operators in the U.S. and Australia. With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, this app simplifies the process of finding drone rules and regulations, planning flights, and ensuring compliance with aviation authorities.

Guide for drone flying

One of the standout features of OpenSky is its ability to provide drone operators with up-to-date information on where and when they can fly. By accessing the published aviation regulations set by the FAA in the U.S. and CASA in Australia, pilots can easily determine the permitted areas for their drone flights. This feature is incredibly valuable for both recreational and commercial drone operators, as it ensures compliance with the relevant authorities and helps prevent potential legal issues.

Compliance maps from Aviation Authorities

OpenSky goes beyond simply providing information on drone regulations. It also offers compliance maps that are tailored to the specific operation and aircraft of the user. This means that drone operators can easily visualize the airspace rules that apply to their specific situation. Whether you're a recreational drone enthusiast or a commercial operator, OpenSky ensures that you have all the necessary information to fly safely and legally.

Identify Risks

Drone operators need to be aware of any flight hazards in their area, such as Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs). OpenSky helps in identifying these risks, allowing pilots to plan their flights accordingly. By alerting users to potential hazards, this app ensures that drone operators can avoid prohibited areas and fly with confidence.

Airspace authorizations

One of the most impressive features of OpenSky is its ability to automatically request authorization to fly in controlled airspace. This is particularly useful for drone operators who need to fly near major cities or in busy airspace. In the U.S., this feature is made possible through the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC). By streamlining the authorization process, OpenSky saves time and effort for drone operators, allowing them to focus on capturing stunning aerial footage.

Track your missions

OpenSky also offers a mission tracking feature, which allows users to keep a record of their past and upcoming flights. This feature is especially useful for commercial drone operators who need to keep track of their flight history for compliance purposes. Additionally, OpenSky provides notifications of any changes to planned flights, ensuring that drone operators are always up to date with the latest information.

In conclusion, OpenSky - Drone Flyer App is an essential tool for drone operators in the U.S. and Australia. With its comprehensive features, including a guide for drone flying, compliance maps, risk identification, airspace authorizations, and mission tracking, OpenSky simplifies the process of planning and executing drone flights while ensuring compliance with relevant aviation regulations. Whether you're a recreational drone enthusiast or a commercial operator, OpenSky is a must-have app to enhance your drone flying experience.

Seamless, love it.

best app

I didn't ever realize you were the same company that did drone delivery, too. This is a great app for people who don't know the restrictions in the area and want to know more about the area that they can and can't fly.

super easy to get flight approval

Finally a nice app and easy to understand for recreational flyers when and where the can fly. Wish FAA would design some nice apps like this.. Tried many apps as FAA 107 pilot this is the best. Small bug you can't pull down the info menu in Android since it pulls down info settings first. please fix

great app

🪽 Happy Flying 🪽

So far its been straight forward and easy to use. A must have for me as a new pilot living near a small airport and wanting to find places to fly legally.

Incredibly slow loading of any data to the point of unusable, servers likely hosted overseas. If you're going to have users in Australia, make it load data from Australia. Takes longer than 15 seconds to load every time you pan or zoom. Often it never ends up loading. UI is otherwise, very good. Shame it's unusable.

filed with no problem 😊

Not at all what I thought I was downloading to fly a cheap toy drone.

Horrible

nice view

really good

wow 😳 it was a little more expensive than the last one I had,, BUT 10 times easier to fly and not as loud 🤔😍
